When a huge event or sampler is released I see people saying “omfg reserved hahahaha”. Sorry if I sound like a nub but does it really mean anything?

They're reserving that spot for their posts. Evidently it's cool to be the first to post in a topic. I just think reserving a spot to post is gay. People aren't going to just read the first reply. Fags.
More or less they're acting like noobs. They're just reserving a spot as the first few posters without taking the time to type up an actual response so that they can edit it after and take their sweet time and still being one of the first posts everyone will see when they want to see the thread.
EDIT:
Dammit, I was going to post first...I guess I should have reserved! [/sarcasm]

Even if they do, it's not like what they have to say will change the reader's opinion of the vid. Unless it's a Rick Roll or goatse, etc. type thing.
I have to disagree with you all on this one. Someone could write Reserved, and then properly give his edit a lot of thought and effort into helping someone or praising them etc. I think it's a good idea personally. Not that I do it haha. I've done it a little in the past, but meh.

Reserved is a good (well, not really good, but it's not bad) idea in principle, I for one always edit my post.
But often times people go "omg reserved" and then that "omg reserved" post sits there unmodified for all eternity.

I guess that means they were disappointed haha.

Ah. I always thought that typing reserved gives you some magical powers or forum feature haha.

Reserved is when you're not really open with people.

I always thought it meant you wanted to watch the sampler but didn't have time at the moment. Or you were on a shitty school computer and wanted to wait til you got home. So you "reserve" it in your mind for later, as if people will get mad if you don't watch the sampler right away. I guess kami's definition makes more sense though :D.
