Hi guys, is there anything wrong with my form? I have this feeling that my body is too long and it causes my deadlift to feel weird :ouch:

Keep the barbell closer, watch out for your back... I saw some mistakes in the overall. looks up to the sky when you lift. It will helps a lot!

think what you wanna think. I gived you tips, do whatever you want with them, but don't come back after telling us we didn't warn you. Your back should not do a curve when you lift your bar and when you bring it down also, I saw some mistakes there too. The It is nothing really big for now, but when you gonna use more heavy weight every small mistakes will hurt a lots! Keeping your heads up will also help on your chest out, cus your chest was not out enough. You also looks too use too much your shoulder and traps, let them back. I don't say that to make you angry, but too help you and let you see you still need to work more on the form. Have you read before telling that looking up was not good... I don't think!

What do you think staring at the ceeling will do good for the deadlift ffs? Think about it...where you look, your body follows. If he stares at the ceeling he will only hyper-extent his back. It will also shift the weight to his heels = fall over and get crushed by the barbell

If you don't believe me ask Antoine. All I said was repeating you all the tips he gived me. I don't think you know more than him how to train properly. I guess you should also looks more about how to deadlift yourself.

You're right, I don't know more about deadlifting then him. And you're also right that I should also look more on how to dl.
Maybe he told you to look a bit above "straight forward", but not stare at the ceeling. Hell...he doesn't even do it himself:

Not that it's too much of a deal tbh...it's just small perks...
Look straight ahead when deadlifting as well as squatting. Focus on a spot and keep your sight on it.

Yes, don't look at the ceiling. Look at a spot on the wall in front of you around upper chest height when you are standing erect. This way you're looking slightly up at the bottom of the pull and a good neutral position at the top.

You should check my exemple I gived on the first page also, I said looking at the sky like a point in front where you focus on... not really the ceilling. I taught that the exemple was more than enough to not let you think to really looks at the sky. Later on, I also said what you guys have said too : Keeping your heads up will also help on your chest out Also I don't think Ronnie is a good exemple to watch about proper lifting. ...
That link is not really bad at all dude. I don't like them telling us to never use strap, because straps have it's use also in the game.
Keeping your eyes focused infront and not up will let your head stay in a neutral position and also keep the alignment of your spine in a favourable position.
