I used to train all year round between 2 - 5 times a week for about 4-5 years
That was about 2 1/2 years ago now.
I don't sprint train anymore. I am still fast but probably could not hit that time at the moment.

I trained to compete in athletics and for fitness.
In winter we would do weights sessions and training sessions focused on endurance with recovery time.
e.g running 80m, having 20 second rest, running 80m again, 8 times. Then reducing the ammount of rest over the season.
In summer we used to train by running more at the distances we would compete in.
e.g 3x200m, 3x 150m, 3x150m. There would be a 5 minute rest between each set of 3 and a rest of walking back to the start position between each run.
Would often train in pyramids
e.g 60m 80m 100m 150m 200m 300m 200m 150m 100m 80m 60m with a minute rest in between each.
We did other training exercises that our coach would set out but this gives you a gist.

It is possable to improve a reasonable ammount in that time. It depends on what your current abilities/training plans are like.
Probably 14 sec or more. I suck haha.

DEfinitely. Discipline yourself and do it until you're on the verge of throwing up and you'll see fitness improvements within 2 months without a doubt.
I used to run for my school a bit, I think my best time was 12.2 when I was about 15. On grass in trainers =D. Timed by a PE teacher though so probably not that great >_>
After that I quit and did long jump for a year or so. I haven't really sprinted properly for a coupla years now.
Anyone beat 6m60 in long jump? (did that this year while pissing around helping the younger kids with it).

I'll try that.... fuck 6m60 is huge!!!
you should start practicing it because you would easily be the rhineland master at your age class the best here jumped about 5.80 last year at the age of 17...
Meh, some guy I competed against in the regionals was jumping 6m50-80ish at 15 years old. I think he came second in the nationals though so fair enough. I got invited to the nationals as first reserve for South England but couldn't be bothered to go as I probably wouldn't have got to jump, and would have failed hard if I did anyway haha.
11 secs was my best maybe 12-13 now
11.3 back when i used to sprint for my school, now i take sprint 5 steps n my ankle will prolly give in lol
i have only been timed once, when i was 11.
18.7!
YEAH!
HAHA you cripple! You could probably beat that doing... aerials.. or something.
BTw I landed reverse aerial and reverse aerial switch today, I still haven't landed a proper normal aerial though = /

the recorded times here arnt bad ^^
thought they'd be abit higher, considering world records lie at around 9,90-9,72..
just goes to show how insane the gap between someone who runs it on somewhere around 11 and someone running it at about 10'ish is..
I found that pretty interesting..

I am a little surprised too, they are high, but then again, this is a tricking forum. Not to mention that even though these times may not seem that different, you have to remember that olympic sprinters are going faster than 10 meters per second, which would be something like a 20 meter finish in front of these times.
edit: by high, I mean low :P

when i was 13 i ran 100m in 12.8 but i gave up in favour of long distance running. Last time i tried when i was 15 i ran it in like 13.2

heh, you're right.. haha, didnt really think about the distance from a olympic sprinter to one "here" in those terms..
still think its cool though, only about 1,5-2 secs behind the elite the average guy here.. :juji:

11.7, when I was 15 I think. I don't sprint train or anything, of course.
Nowadays...hmmm, it'd either be a little better or worse haha. I'd like to imagine that all my tricking and training has helped me maintain it, however I'm pretty sure my recent onset of shin splints has effected it for the negative quite well, combined with all of the stretching I have to do to help alleviate them, but who knows.

nobody in our school got under 12.5 i'm sure haha. we only did the 100m when we were pretty young. in the older years at school we did more sports like soccer and rugby etc. I think the best i got was 14 or just under, no idea how old i was, around 12-13 maybe. right now i dunno how fast i could do it, i'd assume i'd be even lol

I don't remember any of my 100 meters times.
I do, however, remember my best 800 meter was 2:58. Even after doing the math, I don't think I am anywhere near as good as any of the times here.
11.1 timed. We had a kid in our school that ran is 10.8
ehh mine is around 12.5...i think

My best so far is an 11.5, which was during spring. I plan on getting down to 11.0 or 10.9 by this spring track season. Though I prefer long and triple jump
I was the high jump champ at my school. :good:
Haven't sprinted in many years.
I was always good at long jump as well.

Either there is plenty of bullshiz or the majority of tt are fairly quick individuals

I also think the only people who are fairly interested in sprinting and or good at it, are the only one's who are going to post in this thread anywho.

Same here ^^ i was high jump, long jump and hurdles champion at school. In 100m i think i came around 4th or 5th.
My 100m time was 12.10.
I hyperextended my knee 4 weeks ago, so i can only bet im significantly slower now.
When i'm good again i'd like to be able to hit the 11 seconds mark. After all back in school we only had 1 timed 100m race a year.

ok so i was at the school the other day tricking next to the track and decided i should time my 100m. so with little warm up, crappy sprinting shoes, and without running in months i got 12 seconds. so my guess was pretty much right
