For everyone familiar with East Asian languages, (and most likely a shitload of others), translating to English, is more an interpretation of the sentence\word, more than a direct translation...
And the translators knowledge of the language he\she is translating too.
They arnt even meant to be translated, Wushu or taolu (which is the actual name for the part of wushu that everyone assosiates with tricking) terminology is in Chinese, we even use the Chinese names when training, not translated versions... at all.
Who cares if the translation becomes weird.. big deal.
