Shelf life of whey powder?

Hey guys,
I've been searching for a decent, affordable, organic-ish whey protein product for a while now, and it's looking like to make it an efficient purchase, I may have to buy a lot of it.

Here's my question. How long does sealed whey protein powder last. I was thinking of freezing it in wrapped in plastic bags to keep moisture of the cannisters.
But I really have not been able to find any substantial information on the internet, anybody know anything?

I've had about 4 kilos of whey in a sealed bucket for a year now. Quality hasn't decreased, mixes well and tastes as new.
