I know everyone has one, I have a few. I look up to certain people for certain things. I've been finding alot of inspiration in what i've seen lately, these are the people I get inspired by. Who inspires you?
I'll start with the people who most recently have inspired me before I go to my long time inspirations.
Strider-hajime (Tiger Woods)-The kid's motivation pushes me. Nothings ever good enough for him, always thirsty for knowledge. Lately its changed how I look at every other tricker whos trying to land a new move and made me want to share my knowledge with everyone I can.
Full Vernian-This kids Raw Talent amazes me. Everytime I see him trick, I've felt dwarfed. After I saw him land the 360 kick flip on the first try, I honestly felt a little fanboy-ish. Kid can do ANYTHING.
Cepopeye-He's the happiest tricker alive, I train with him alot but recently i've realized that 1. He has no idea what he's doing and 2. he doesn't care cause he's having a blast. No matter what, when he tricks, the sessions always got a better mood.
Main inspirations
Kyle Mclean-He's my "big" brother butterfly lol. His main attitude towards tricking is how i feel tricking should be for everyone. He just wants to have fun, hang out and be with friends. I always have the time of my life when I hang out with kyle.
Danny G-Papa, I dont need to say much but you've turned me into what i am today. My tricking and personality. Your one of the strongest influences i've ever had
Ryan Rempfer-Your my goal as a tricker, my main inspiration. I watch your samplers before I trick and mold my tricks after yours. your flow, finesse, control, power, speed. You are what I strive to be. I never want to be a clone of you but if someone said I tricked like you, I could retire form tricking happy.
No debates, no bashing in this thread. Just positive stuff

HAIME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got very lucky to meet someone so knowledgeable and inspirational. When it comes to anything related to a trick or tricking, my perception is rooted in what I have seen from Haime.
It pretty much comes down to 4 things really, that I can think of.
-TT, Juji was the first tricker I saw and started learning from his tutorials in '03-'04.
-Matt R. I was obsessed with his Winter Samp and got motivated to try everything I saw.
-The Real Friday Night Madness. Utter obsession with this vid. Fell in love with FF and FS, and thought I needed to focus all my attention to tricking at this point.
-Met Haime. Got invited to NY gathering 05 and got asked to battle against CrazyAsian's tumbling cuz I was the only one to triple full at that point. I sucked ass, but had the best time of my life and joined FF.
Hugely awesome people who continually inspire me the most:
-HAIME
-CRAZYASIAN
-DAN PEREZ
-VELLU
-DEVON
-RYAN
-JUSTIN
-Cape Codders and other FF crabs

Crazy Asian, Bubba, and Duke Hoff were the first videos i saw when i was first starting tricking that me inspired to keep tricking.
WilliamT is the one who really trained me so i look up to him and thank him for that.
I have MANY Heroes!!!
Dave C How could he not be my hero? I started tricking because I saw him do a Btwist_Gainer! He's been there throughout my entire tricking career and I thank him for all the help he has given me.
Rudy Meadows Of course this man inspires me as well. Not only have grown as tricksters together over the past 2.5 Years, but we have also grown as FRIENDS. I love him to death (Even though he is better than me :ogre:.)
NAN I used to watch your samplers CONSTANTLY! You were what kept pushing me to continue tricking. I remember watching Mogwai 2005 and not even realizing how insane the doublecork was!
Systrickz This is another team I watched a LOT of when I first started. It was nice because I could watch their 2004 stuff and really base my progression around theirs. It was always Excellent. The Ca$h and Starfoot Busting Out Sampler is still one of my favorites
Loopkicks Especially Chris D. You guys have shaped tricking to be what it is today, and I thank you for it. You are all such excellent people and I love chilling with you guys when I get the chance. You're all so down to earth. The way every sport should be...
Simon I remember back before I even knew TT existed and me and Kenny would talk to you on Myspace! (Well, mainly Kenny) You were sooo good back then too and now your tricks are just :amazed:!
Devon Tricking with you is the GREATEST experience EVAR!!! You bring sooo much raw energy. It is excellent! I trick 1000x better when you are around! I love you to death man!
William T Our friendship has grown greatly over the past year. Talking to you has always been a pleasure and its great to know that we are such good friends. Hopefully the future will be kind to us and we can see each other more often.
TT I love you all more than you could ever know! Every single bit of TT is a treasure to me. You are all like a second family to me (though rather dysfunctional). Haha. I can't wait to see how the community will grow over the years and hopefully we will all stay in touch!
More will be added later...
juji fo sho! first tricker i saw and he's just whoaaaa.
kslash, k/ is also just whoaaaaa, but in a different way.
Mr boese, another form of whoaaa again. hard to describe any of them really.
then style wise it would have to be bubba
Bubba, Juji, Anis, Dee, Flow, Jeremy, Sess and of course, my fellow hth-ers.
Especially John Fellas...out of anyone I met he has the most determination to persevere.
He spent the first 3 years of his tricking career crashing every single move he tried haha.
Only in the last two years has he started landing stuff...and in the past 6 months he has made such a drastic improvement, it is like two different trickers. Pretty cool to watch him land "big" tricks nowadays.
I think pretty much everyone on HTH has the same mindset with tricking though, that is we have fun every time we trick or there is no point in doing it.

Kjer and Sessh make me want to be creative and stylish.
Sammy V and Danny G give me that rush to just attack any move I do.
Old school Fs brings me back to why I love tricking so much.
Dave C just gives a relentless urge to double even though I cant.

tricking inspirations huh, well..........
Jayel - He introduce me to tricking and help develop my raiz, he amazes me with his progression and determination
Sessh - Recently just met him and i can definitely say i feel alot differently about tricking,
watching him makes me want to be more clean and creative
Nick Vail - Possibly the nicest guy on earth, hip me to a few things that really improved my tricking...........love how he execute his moves, very clean
Kyle Mclean - i like how chill he is and then out of now where comes these sick combos........his combos really stick out to me for some reason, they always so bad ass
Danny Graham, Jeremy Marinas, & Anis - these were like the first guys i've seen that really blew me away. There technique, speed and power are all things that they've shown you can achieve through hardware and dedication.
All the trickers i've met so far have inspirated me in some way, so thanks to everyone.

Sep-03-08, 05:49 PM
Trickers who inspire me...
Mogwai-the power in his moves, and samplers, as well as the nice variety of tricks
Munks-same as above,
Pitlock-same as above, super high level moves that seem to be done with ease
Nick Vail-super clean moves and high level of tricks as well that make me want to get better
Cepopeye-he just has this throw any humoungous move, crash then combo moves that don't have any momentum and crash again, and not care
Anytime i see any footage of these guys I have to trick, no matter how sore I am or how crappy the weather is or how late it is at night.

Haha he never gave up....I still think the number of times he has crashed btwists is higher then landed.
He definitely inspires me since he got way better then me....bastard.
Everyone on Loopkicks....
Rudy Reynon, Matt Emig, StrikingZ, everyone in MD, Sessh, more...I'm too lazy to think of everyone.

Jujimufu: I found out about tricking because of Juji. When I learned to do Frontflip, I wanted to know more about that move. I searched from wikipedia and I remember, that there was a link to TT. I looked those tutorials and this way got interested in tricking. :juji:
Sesshoumaru: His creative and innovative combos always inspires me.
Vellu: Vellu is my main inspiration. Someday I want as clean style as he does, and his crazy twists, kicks and combos always gives me motivation. I love Vellu! <3

Well i might just give this some time then...
Dan Pitlock- My greatest inspiration at the moment. love his style because it screams POWER
Scotty Skelton- His way and joy of tricking is just lovely and not to forget he's never having a bad day it seems :)
Teddy- How easily he does his tricks is just mindblowing everytime, I've tricked with him for near 2.5 years and still it's just incredible. Always great as a person. Yesterday he did 5 corks on cobblestone...
Punshi- Greatest style ever, no doubt. Also he. like teddy, throws advanced tricks like nothing even though he's been off tricking for like 3 months.
Safari- A great friend and tricking buddy, but also my arch rival even though he kills me anyday. I look up to him a lot and his way of tricking is very different from others that i have met. We can talk forever about tricking development and styles.
There are so many that helps me with inspiration, it's hard to mention everyone... <3 you all
- DTZ -
i have to divide my choice between national and international (no order!)
national trickers:
Scott Skelton - omfg enough said already! but besides his awesome name its his twisting skill that gets me, meeting him at ATG was awesome!
Morgan Flook - awesome combos, love his aerial fronts/hyper aerials
Jono Wong - love his style of tricks, especially his awesome kicks
John Mclay - wow your summer 07/08 sampler blew me away, so much improvement
HTU - oh god i cant even remember all your guys names but it was awesome meeting/tricking with you at ATG
GS - argh melbourne tricks gathering!!!
My tricking buddies - the guys that motivate me to trick when im at sessions <3
International trickers:
Teddy - every sampler blows me away
Ott - like john mclay, so much improvement in a short space of time
NAN - pretty much self explanatory
Henrik - when i met you at ATG you were pretty good and by the time you left you were crazily awesome, the brisbane guys taught you well
Anis - again pretty much self explanatory
KJER - love his flipping style so crazy argh!
Jiayo-Chris - Hes the first person i properly tricked with and taught me so much about different tricks and i love his style.
Teddy - again hes got a great style with so much height.

Ben Brown-
As far as I'm concerned he has the best style of any tricker, even though he doesn't throw the most advanced moves, you can bet he's consistent with absolutely everything and can combo any of it anywhere anytime. Plus he said he'd have a hot chocolate with me which is always nice =]
Grant- Probably my favourite UK tricker, he tricks just like how I want to be able to in a few years time, again he doesn't throw the most advanced moves but whenever I watch his videos I am convinced he is the most powerful tricker in the UK at least. Such power and immaculate style in his moves.
Gabriel Stahl- Immense cleanliness and fluidity in all his movements, he is an inspiration to me :] He arguably as well makes the most enjoyable videos to watch.
K slash- The nicest man around and maddddd skilled even though he doesn't believe anyone who says otherwise =p He's been an awesome friend to me as well over the past years I have known him.
Alexx- IMO one of the most creative trickers around and he's made some rapid improvements in this last year of his tricking. He's been a great buddy since we started talking in 06, and even had me stay at his home in january 07 ^.^
The entire UK tricking scene in general, I love all the UK trickers so much, alpha andy, munks, shengoikee, pete man man, tkd andy, simon, matt r, james newsome, andy d11, jiayo james, kiz, surge, jiayo chris, Scottish Sean, Hadyn, Lynall, gravity jay, Kieran and sorry if I forgot anyone else >.<.
Oh and ofcourse, Jujimufu, who could forget him. :]
Ryan Rempfer-for his awesome style
Remi Bakkar-for his flow in flips
Doeni - for his unique style
And Mostly all good trickers

Sep-29-08, 06:53 AM
All my fellow team members from DTZ. Every single one inspires me in their own individual way.
- Sesshoumaru is one of my main inspirations.. Undescribeable tricking, he is the best.
- Hurricane is probably the strongest team these days (imo). All of the members kills it, and the battle against loopkicks and Matt, Luke and Rudy was just to much
- Jeremy Marinas oh baby! his combos are like fucking tsunamies.. first they look all chilled, but when you take a closer look you can see that this aint the guy to fuck with.
- Manny Brown Probably the first tricker I really looked up to! This guy made me practice misslegs [+variations]. One of the first samplers I ever saw was his Manny Brown Remix [ Made by Shido ]
There's a lot more than these. Mainly I think every tricker in the world can inspire me somehow. All trickers have something that's unique and you'll never find anything like it, so this is kinda hard to define. "Who's your inspiration?".. damn hard question
Jackemani

Pitlock and Graham- They have solid form something that I want to posses, they don't "shake" like other trickers do.
Dan Perez- This dude can trick on both sides, who doesn't want to to do that?
Flow- 'Nuff Said...
Teddy- Such pretty twist moves and everything else I want his double cork.

When I saw Jayel tricking at the gym I was out about a year ago I almost shit myself. Everything he does floats so much. That pretty much inspired me and continues to.

All the unknown kickass capoeira people, and Sessh for his ungodly creativity.
edit: and BboyAgua because of his awesome mixing of bboying, capoeira and tricks.

I really don't get the idea of being inspired by a certain trickster to trick.
