HEY, this has been bugging me lately, i got major exess sweat. how do you guys, if have it, deal with it or is there any way to get rid of it. Problem is that its the armpits, which even gellete and right guard clinical strenght dont work on. Worst part its also the back, worst of that is that i wear loose dress shirt most of the time, untucked, and all the sweat goes down the spine and right towards the ass. So that leaves a very disgusting mark that goes all the way down to croch area.

I know that was fucking wiered question, but what can i do about that.

I am also a sweaty beast. I'll sweat after very little physical activity, and bucketloads when I trick. Usually when I go to trick, I bring at least 2 shirts, 3 a lot of the time. I come to the gym wearing one shirt, wear it til its drenched, and then either change the shirt or go shirtless (always with my towel by my side) and then another shirt for going home.

I'd really like some advice to help me control my glands better.

for me its worse because i will sweat like that regulary, but when i am working out, the only dry spots taht are left are about 4 inches wide oval shaped dry spots on the side of the hips, thats it, the rest is all soaked.

I sweat a lot too but only from certain places. my back, legs, chest, ass, arms, feet etc all have no problem with sweat but my forehead sweats a lot sometimes if i'm just walking briskly somewhere. luckily it's odorless too, but it messes up my hair haha. when I exercise it doesn't bother me how much i sweat

Be proud to sweat, it refreshes your body and stuff.

My sweat smells nothing either, until it dries up and I re-sweat an hour later. Then it starts smelling.

I am also in the same boat. I sweat frequently and in large quantity. There is not too much one can do about genetics, so bask in your glistening glory. You might try switching to a natural deodorant, like this http://www.thecrystal.com/index.cfm . I used to sweat buckets from my armpits while sitting in an air-conditioned room. As my diet and exercise improved steadily, the buckets seemed to have less to pour out, and then when I switched over from using deodorants like Degree to using natural deodorants it stopped entirely.

One time when I was In the 5th grade I was just coming Inside of the school from morning recess and I almost got in trouble by my homeroom teacher because she thought I threw water on my self.Haha

I sweat a ridiculous amount but mostly just from anywhere above my waist (not my armpits too much though).

I bring towels, occasionally even another shirt (if I'm training indoors).

I sweat like a madman when i'm at the gym. If its going to be a long session, i'll bring a few extra shirts, plus one for the drive home.

There's surgery that can be done to help. It involves cutting some nerves in the body that send signals to sweat glands.
Look up "hyperhidrosis" (the condition of excess sweating) to find out more about all of this.

If you have excess hair remove it, wear an under shirt made of a material that has a high absorbancy, if it is extreme ask your doctor what can be done

I sweat in this order, or at least it's most noticeable to me in this order: Forehead, Armpits, inner groin, neck. Then the rest is about the same. I sweat a tiny bit more than average I guess when it's hot weather, luckily it doesn't smell bad at all

Eat well and use a natural deodorant, or one that has a lower content of the active ingredient (Usually some ionic compound of Aluminum). I find that when I use Mitchum (20% active ingredient) I sweat alot from my armpits. But using RightGuard which only has like 10-13%, I don't.

This is because your body will try to flush out the foreign compounds by sweating. So it will also flush out toxins from: fast food, crappy food, soda, anything else you ingest. And will do so by sweating.

So eat healthy, train hard, and drink loads of water to help drain those toxins via urination.

Hope that helps, if it doesn't, or you already do those things, then it's just your genetics.

There is surgery if its that big of a deal. You can also get this stuff that was developed to stop prosthetics patients from sweating underneath their prosthetics. I guess actors wear it. Deodorants do nothing if your genetically prone to sweating.

Absolut Torr. Not a drop of sweat from my armpits with that.

Do things that help to lower your body temperature. Wearing less clothing is helpful (dress shirts are long usually right?) like if you wore shorts. Removing hair helps (shave your head). Drink cold water. If you wear dark clothing then moisture is less visible however it absorbs light and may cause you to sweat slightly more.

I found I stopped sweating as much after I broke my arm. Do that...
I fixed up my diet after I broke my arm, but got less cardiovascularly fit and couldn't exercise for a while. The fitter the person, the better the body can cool itself down, aka sweating more - it's quite unfortunate. Could be either - or a result of breaking my arm.

Have you tried wearing a tank/undershirt under your dress shirt? i believe that that may actually be one of their intended purposes

The fitter the person, the better the body can cool itself down, aka sweating moreI don't really know about that. I'm not sure the ability to sweat is something that you need to train, I think it's pretty much a survival mechanism that happens regardless.

It's more like, fit people can push themselves to tolerate bigger limits, like generating huge amounts of force, which consequently generate huge amounts of heat.

That said though, someone who is well-trained should be able to do the same activity as an unfit person and generate LESS heat, because they're more energy efficient. Plus, if they are leaner as a result of being fitter, their body should naturally hold less heat by being less insulated.

Anyway, here are some words from Gai you should abide:

Nah man, fit people (people who train regularly) develop a greater amount of blood plasma - which enables them to sweat more, and also respond to exercise more efficiently, by increasing heart-rate and sweating in anticipation to exercise, and of course sweating more in response to exercise. Sweating more is desirable when exercising, just not socially.
