My 540 is a bit weird, can anyone give me some tips and advice? I slowed it down 2x and 4x so you can view my form better.

just drill it bro, im not good at 540s so i cant really give you any tips, but i know its safe to say that the more you practice, the better you WILL get!

it looks fine, it lacks power and is really open but time will fix that

just drill it, do it without shoes on. when i first got it mine looked liek taht on concrete with shoes too.
also, music was a bit kinda....not fitting.
but ye, just drill drill drill :good:

Torque your hips to the left much more and throw a roundhouse kick instead of crescent.
Pause the vid at :26 seconds. The direction your hips are facing at this point (2 late in the jump) is where your hips should be at :25 seconds. I don't know how to take screenshots...oh well.

Basically, when you jump you should get your left hip towards the ground and your right hip towards the sky.

..err that wasnt a good explaination. Hope you get what I'm saying.

lift your knee, kick towards the camera, wrap ur arms tight. kick HARD! And don't just lift the kicking leg straight. Chamber, then kick.

Drill , it's not like you're going to have a 540 like Fag-ell-co at your first time you land it. Chamber the kick. Lose the shoes. The music made me rate it 1 star. Fuck you.

speed everything up and put power into it

think of kicking a dude's head off before he gets a chance to run off

spot your target, jump higher and around first, bring everything up chambered and ready, and explode the kick across, rather than flopping the leg over as soon as possible.

Straight after you jump up Lift your arms/ shoulders up to help increase height, Then arms go around chest (in a fighting stance) Then when your kick is leading past the target and going to land try and twist towards the kick with your upper body.

Left leg needs to be chambered (Bent as close up to your bum as you can)

Try to make as little distance across as you can and Jump UP!

thanks everyone for the tips.

so basically i should

-practice more

-try it without shoes on (but why?)

-close my arms into my chest as soon as i lift off

-have my left hip face more towards the sky?

-and i should also chamber my kicking leg, by jumping off bent leg then kicking it straight out as soon as i reach my max height?



also how do i make my hip face more towards the sky? do i try leaning back? i've tried leaning back for some of my 540's but that makes me screw them up really badly.
