how do i keep my upper body straight throughout c9's?

it's the only thing keeping me from doing them. my posture doesn't seem to keep straight.

practise practise practise i presume? or is there anything else that could help?

dunno if it helps but try to kinda hook the first lifting leg in the cheat setup, doing this I stopped crunching together in the kick part

so you mean instead of a crescent cheat setup i should do a hook kind of setup? if yes then i'm not sure how much that'll help. i'll give it a shot though.

asobit: i crunch together at the point of kicking, wich is a lot worse haha.

are you leaning back or are you just crunching in the back? Because I find it more sexy when ppl lean back in their c9s. I actually have trouble leaning back in them :eh:

yeah, i can't lean back. i always crunch forward. it's annoying.

although this WAS my first day of doing them, and if i kept straight i could have landed it easily :eh:

that's what i've been troubled with.

but i'll keep on pushing myself to it, it has to click eventually =]

Yeah, I don't know if you really got what I said but umm, watch some of the best c9's out there (just go to JaimeC-Make a move lol) and watch those c9's. In the cheat setup he kind of spins with his heel to the direction of the spin, not the outside of the foot and thigh. I recall that Scalco also talked about this in his c9 tutorial.

Well it seemed pretty stupid to me too before I actually tried it. It got me higher and thus I was able to kick before landing, which I didn't before.
Also, I totally forgot to tell you; SPOT YOUR TARGET

Try focusing your eyes at head level or a little higher?

i never forget to spot though :wink:

tricker: probably could help, i'll be trying stuff with c9's so i'll try forcing myself to keep my eyes forward.
