Hey guys. I just thought of something. Wouldn't tricking, and just tricking, help you gain strength?

No it would not.

The only benefit strength wise is the effect tricking has on your legs since it's plyometric.

But overall it's a no.

The answer is yes, but its like doing 10 pushups a day 3 times a week to gain strength...just not very effective.

It doesn't give you any strength.

It doesn't give you any strength.

If you can jump higher, your legs have become stronger. :eh:

No they have not, they've become able to exert their force in less time, and your nervous system has become more adept at the motions involved in jumping.

I see what you're getting at, but let's face it, someone could trick their whole life without lifting, and then start deadlifting or squatting or whatever and have to start at a (standard) minimal amount of weight. The strength gains just aren't significant.

so in essence you dont need a stronger punch, just a faster punch, as it exerts blah blah whatever skilz said.

It'll make you more explosive in some movements, but not stronger.

I bet if I do enough frontkicks I'll be able to do a frontkick with an extra 50 kg on my foot.

It will help you gain power, not strength. Don't confuse the two, as they're very different.
