So i got a couple problems. First of all, when i do side lifts, the hip in the leg thats not being lifted starts to hurt. I'm afraid i am rly damaging myself and i dont know how to fix it. Has anyone had this problem and/or does anyone know how to fix it?? Secondly, whenever i try 540 kicks and tornadoes, i pull my groin. EVERY TIME. Does anyone know any other dynamic groin stretches that won't ruin my life?
Please help guys.
Thanks.

Why are you lifting one of your legs during a split? That sounds like bad technique to me.
As for your kicks you are probably kicking to high/hard for your flexibility range.

If you pull your groin every time then you have an old injury that needs to be dealt with.
As far as you hurting your hip during the splits you're doing it wrong.

Heaps of people have hip problems. My hip always got sore after doing dynamic side lifts. So I fixed the problem by dropping dynamic stretches altogether, and got my splits. Then once I had static flexibility THEN I did more intensive dynamic stretches. Now side lifts don't hurt because I trained static before dynamic

you also might try frog streches and doing partial splits that really helped me but then i always thought the side splits where pretty easy
