I have made an observation: Just lately my urine has started smelling more potent(sometimes pleasant).

I have none of these symptoms:
- Pain (stinging or burning) on passing urine
- Constant feeling of needing to pass urine
- Difficulty starting to pass urine
- Fever
- Generally feeling unwell, nauseous

Also:
- My urine is always clear.
- I drink 3+ litres of water a day.
- I haven't had intercourse in quite a few months & I always strap up.
- No major change in diet.

Possibilities I've thought of:
- Increased intake of mercaptan(but there's been no particular change in diet?)
- I've started taking my ZMA again,so would hormones effect the smell?

Has anybody else experienced this or have anything suggestions to why this has occurred? Discuss. lolz

The smell might be from something you've drank or eaten. E.g. if I've eaten fish, my urine tends to smell slightly fishy (sorry for the horrible pun), and if I've drunk alcohol, it always smells lighly boozy.

It might be a minor thing you've eaten or drunk. Other than that, I don't think ZMA would have much to say. In my case at least, I haven't noticed any change in my piss in neither colour, shape, smell or green balloons.

My pee smells like fucking kidney failure every time I drink coffee. You may have the same issue I do.

There isn't anything you can do. Just stay hydrated (coffee is a diuretic and very dehydrating, as you know) and just tough it out.

Shop around, I've found some of it actually tatstes different. I'd get a bunch of small bags of coffee and find a brand that you like.

Just avoid Starbucks coffee, bagged or not; they don't clean their beans worth shit,and their coffee tastes like leathery butthole.

Dunkin' Donuts has some surprisingly rich coffee. I'd recommend that.

However, (if you drink coffee black, like I do) the most balanced and refreshing cup of coffee I have ever had is from Green Mountain's Extra Bold Kona Blend. Fantastic fucking stuff, it's the perfect level of bitterness, acidity, and it goes down smooth.

Try the following:

- Hot green tea (straight, no milk/honey/sugar/bullshit) Lipton's is okay for a bag, but whole leaf is phenomenal.
- Hot black tea (try Revolution's bagged black tea, they use whole leaves for CHEAP, and once again, no bullshit)

The thing with tea, is that you kind of grow into it. At first, it seems like tea is just hot water with a bad aftertaste, but then it really grows onto you. As well, the antioxidant properties of both, the hydration it provides, and the slow and steady caffeine release is fantastic.

Coffee, on the other hand...
Try anything from Green Mountain. As well, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH:
Try to grow into black coffee.

Black coffee is another thing that tastes like shite at first, but when you get used to the taste in a day or so, nothing is more refreshing than how bitter and smooth black coffee is (assuming the coffee itself is good). As well, if you bullshit your coffee with milk and sugar, it basically rapes whatever coffee it is, you miss out on the flavor of the beans themselves (Arabic coffee, for example, tastes more robust and deeper than the lighter and slightly more acidic Columbian coffee), which is easily the best part.

I'm just ranting, really. I just don't understand the stigma against black coffee (and the bafflement people get when they see me drink black coffee).

It happens when I perspire around the crotch / glutes / inner thigh area & then walk or whatever, the areas that have perspired rub together (like the cracks & crevices of my thighs & glutes) & produce the unpleasant smell that I assumed was my urine,hahaha!
