Well, I use digestive enzymes to help breakdown protein, because I kind of suck at doing that naturally. But, lately I've been taking a casein protein supplement at night so I don't get all super deflated in my sleep...
But, would taking the digestive enzymes be a ridiculous idea at night when taken with a slow digesting protein? I know enzymes breaks the protein down to help it be digested easier, but does it also speed the process up? This is probably a n00b question, but I wasn't sure, and I thought it'd be worth a shot to ask.
-Is it logical to take the enzyme at night with casein protein? That's the question...

Digestive enzymes should only really be used if you have an enzyme deficiency. Do you lack protease?
Like, I know enzymes breaks the protein down to help it be digested easier, but does it also speed the process up?I don't know too much about digestive enzyme supplements, but if you do have an enzyme deficiency then the supplement would help to digest the protein more efficiently, not necessarily speed it up.

Is it logical to take the enzyme at night with casein protein? That's the question...If you've been recommended by a doctor or know you have an enzyme deficiency, yes.:good:

Yeah, just take it, Haime. It's not like you're suddenly going to digest all the protein in 5 minutes or something just cause you've taken some enzyme.
