View Full Version : Question about Dynamic Flexibility Training

First off, my goal is to increase my kicks for tricking. That is all I am concerned about now. Anyways...

On the main site it says:

The greatest aspect of developing dynamic flexibility is it's excellent convenience. In training, it should become part of your warmup; Moreover, it only takes between 10-15 minutes to do a sufficient volume of stretches to warrant an increase. I would do it after the first part of a general warm up.

and then Juji recommends:

I recommend 3-4 sets of 9-12 repetitions per movement in any given direction for developing dynamic leg flexibility.

There are 8 basic lower body dynamic stretches that Juji outlines in this section. How is it possible to do 3-4 sets of 9-12 reps for 8 stretches in 10-15 minutes? Am I misreading something here?

Haha, this exact question was asked like a month ago.

Anyway, you should basically do as many sets as it takes to reach your max, and no more. And you should only do stretches for movements in which you want to gain range - so you may or may not need 8 different dynamic stretches.

Besides, even if you did need to do 3-4 sets of 12 reps for 8 different stretches, it probably wouldn't take much over 15 minutes for the actual stretches themselves...

It is cool and sexy. As for effective, Chloe Bruce could probably destroy everyone here so if she wants to invent cool-looking arachnid moves for some movie to show off her splits then LET HER.
