I've just realised that I have no flexibility in my right toe at all!:shocked:Even when I put all of my weight on it;it doesn't extend. 2 years ago I dropped something really heavy on it & now it has a huge "knuckle". I was wondering if this is called anything specific(so I can search it) & is there any way of developing flexibility in it?
Thank you,I had totally forgotten but I was about to make a thread about this ages ago. My left foots big toe has no flexibility either. Dont know why,but it hurts a little if i bend it too much, and I really cant bend it much at all. We might have different issues with the flex tho.

Unfortunately nobody can answer our questions.

I have the same. Does that help?
actually it just takes time to get better. I stubbed my left toe pretty badly a couple of times, the pain went away after a couple of months and it became somewhat flexible again after a couple of years. Now it's still not quite on par with my right toe, but at least I can bend it back again a bit, although it does hurt slightly if I do that.

Wow, I was going to ask the SAME thing. Too bad no one has answered yet. Actually my toes have been taking a beating lately, even today I smashed them up pretty bad from tricking....I think I have permanently destroyed my toes. First only my left one was not really movable, now its both.

This is what you be needing!...
n a more serious note.. try stretching your toes to work up flexibility like you do in the rest of your body.. if thats possible anyway :P otherwise i have no idea what to do
Oh! theres even an article about toe excersise in the LA times! http://articles.latimes.com/2007/jan/01/health/he-workout1
it's mostly rubbish though.. can't believe I actually read it.. XD
good luck with your toes!

Aah, stretching would only help if it's a case of muscular inflexibility.
This could be something else. Sounds like a fucked joint in Aiden's case for example.
You guys might try this in the conditioning section. They tend to have a better idea of injury treatment.
That is, they won't tell you to stretch when you have a compound fracture.

Is it reasonable to think that I could 'chisel' some crap off 'here & there' (by a doctor of course) & the joint would be more mobile? My toe flexion is normal, just no extension.

i wore flip flops that were too small for a summer, and now one of my toes is curled up wierdly and wont go back fully, although after 2 years its almost normal.

My left elbow will not fully extend. If I put my upper arm on a desk and then try to extend my arm, my hand can't get closer than a few inches from the table. I was wondering If I could "chisel" this problem, but then I realised that it doesn't really matter.

Haha, mine is a slight problem because it means I can't stand on my toes properly.
WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO KNOW!?!?
Yes, yes i would. Is it all fun and games or do you feel like a wiener between two cheeks all the time?

Please post a picture of you putting all your weight on your big toe please. If it isn't bending, this would be really interesting.

There you go. When I put ALL of my weight on it; it bends very slightly, but when do you put ALL of your weight on it when you walk? & yes,I have to have my foot at that huge angle for it to bend the slightest too.

like i can bend my toes back so they touch the top of my foot lol
You can't really though rick, cause that's just plain wrong.
We do both have some hardcore flex on our toe's though...I'm not training splits anymore, just toe flex hahaha

My right big toe became very inflexible a few years ago. I was stretching my feet and toes after a gym session and I felt it go 'crunch' and it was quite painful.
Most of the flexibility has now returned.
