View Full Version : 9 more months of gym membership?

I was moping about my money being wasted so I went to cancel my gym membership and I found out that when I signed up, apparently due to being very tired I didn't notice I was obligating to pay for a whole year. That means 9 months X $45. I guess if you can't get out it makes sense to use it or something.
It's better if you actually bring gym clothes though. It sucks when you show up randomly in jeans and a sweater because you sweat a lot sooner and stop before reaching a limit. Also, when you don't sleep much, you recover like shit. Also, when you're hateful of fat you don't eat well to recuperate your energy.
People always leave dumbbells in the wrong spot. I don't even get to exercise because I have to spend 10 minutes rearranging the dumbbells in the proper order on both floors. It pisses me off so much! I just want to cave in the skull with whoever is randomly moving shit around like that!

My friend got screwed like that. He signed up for 1 year of karate, and he had to quit because of work and he was joining the wrestling team at school, and he didnt have time anymore. So he told the master he could no longer come to lessons, and that was that.
A year later,(about 1 month ago) he gets a phone call from a bill collection agency saying he owes $1000 to the karate school. He now pays 100 bones a month to pay it off.
I told him to fight it but he didn't so now he's stuck paying it.

This same thing happened to me. I have school now all the time, and my classes are the same time as martial arts classes. I'm stuck paying $100 a month for something that I can't use.

Did you try to get out of it at all? I stopped going too shortly after my friend did, but I made sure that they voided the contract before I left.

I actually always have a spare pair of workout clothes, along with a towl, bottle of water, and a few other small things in my car. I still bring my normal gym clothes in addition, but it never hurts to have an extra change of clothes around.

Why don't you just...find the weights you need, and not worry about the other ones? When you're done with them, just put them as close to each other as you can.
wow it has been 1 day and swartz has not gotton mad at a remark i made including him in it???????????????

Actually, now that I think of it, I suspected that it was rare as well. Also:

Honestly, why would anyone even show up to the gym in a sweater? Maybe you should start mimicking what you see other people do, when you leave the house. Things like, not wearing a sweater when you go to the gym.

I wear a sweater during my quick warm ups. Nobody likes being cold during a workout(unless your sweating a lot) and wearing a sweater for a couple of minutes is a quick way to get nice and warm.

Guh. I always wear shorts and a t-shirt at the gym. Yesterday all of my shorts were stinky, so I wore some sweatpants instead. I almost died. It sucked so much. I'm never going to the gym without shorts again.

I have to buy new shorts / sweat pants quite often because the ass & crotch-seams tear apart, most likely due to the sweat making the material stick to my skin, especially when I squat.

Still angry, it seems.
I'm not angry, I just think that Ashtard is fucking worthless, like 99% of people here btw (as in, 99% of people here think Ahstar is worthless)

The issue is that I did read it, but wasn't totally with it mentally and misread part of it. I thought it said that there was an option to renew it at the same rate for 12 months (because sometimes rates increase) but actually, it was an obligation. Very subtle difference, and actually, my interpretation made zero sense at all (there's no benefit to it for them) but a lot of weird things make sense when you're sleepy.
I never thought you actually left your home Ashtar.I haven't yet today, I'll go get the newspaper I guess. I even missed the Santa Claus parade on Sunday, and I really wanted to go see that, but instead I bought some milk and then didn't want to do anything else.

My local gyms shit...but its only 28 quid a month...n 4 pound 10 a session if u dnt have a member ship..so i go like...3 times a week...to do some stuff there if i cba to do it at home. Not enough room really, and the free weights at the gym are fine. If I had them here I'm less likely to use them than at the gym where there are no distractions like video games or porn. Hanging upside down is way more exciting and I barely even do that.
Honestly, why would anyone even show up to the gym in a sweater? Maybe you should start mimicking what you see other people do, when you leave the house. Things like, not wearing a sweater when you go to the gym.It was snowing, and I wore it during my class right next to the gym because the room had no heating. The last time I wore a t-shirt, I tripped on the sidewalk while runningand busted my elbow open so wearing a sweater and thick jacket will prevent injuries. It'd make sense to take it off but I didn't bring a lock with me and I fear theives.
Ashtard should do the world a favor and get crushed by a trainSettle for a barbell?
