View Full Version : Has anyone ever tried making street show for money?
Has anyone of you ever put a hat down on the street and started tricking? I think you could get alot of money from that. I saw a group of kids doing bmx street show, they werent even good but they got alot of money from spectators! I think you could probably get at least $100 for 1 hour of tricking.
Some drunk guy gave me £5 once when I did a flashkick in town once

we did this hurricane gathering 07 and 08 in miami. we made over $200 last year and about $100 this year bc we got stopped by cops lol

Interesting. When I'm running out of money, I'll go to nearest city, put a hat down and do Btwist > Macaco > Full-leg and maybe I'll get few euros. :smile:

I dont think you have to be VERY good to make some money. You could just do backflips, websters, basic kicking combos and roundoffs! People will still be amazed!

I averaged $60 an hour by myself doing only 540's, back flip's, and aerials!

i needed to use a payphone and asked someone for 25cents so i could use it. he said " yeah sure maybe if you could BACKFLIP or something" little did he know i was gunna say" alright" then do one, and he then gave me a quarter :D.
haha it's awesome when people are like that.
it's such a random thing to be able to do.

i do backflips in public every so often and people gasp as if I just performed some kind of miracle, while I'm there saying "shit, that backflip sucked, I got not height that time."
We had a bus full of kids in Subway today (my work) and after I finished making all of their subs, I did a backflip. Some kid pointed it out and they all looked at me so I went outside and did a couple tricks...

Ive always thought this. I think me and my buddies could pull it off really well. And if you factor in our other talents, like unicycling, poi, contact juggling, dance, bboying, hand balance. We could do it. But around here this stuff would require a license/permit.

If you live on the outskirts of L.A. you can do this. People throw money at you if you can do anything they can't. You need a permit though.
I wish I lived in L.A. :(

I have seen people do street shows like this in NYC and Boston, with the occasional cop walking by, and they did nothing. Just do it in a crowded area or somewhere that other people have permits do do it, and no one will be the wiser. Now go rake in them dollars.

I don't know, I think you just head to town hall or something like that.
I live in a rural area of New England, so I can't really make money as there iis no one to give it to me.
I think I'm going to find a covered area to be doing this, this winter. To get some money for gatherings.
