Three mile pull-ups are quite difficult.

personal record

physical training (test). its the military's way of making sure youre in shape. its a shitty measurement, but its how they do it. the army does two minutes of however many situps you can do, two minutes of however many pushups you can do, and a two mile run.

At my prison, for the CERT team, we do a 2 mile run, pull-ups, situps, and pushups. Mine was:

Pushups - 95
Pull-ups - 21
Situps - 80
2 mile run - 15:30

I couldn't give a shit about my run, I trained it down to like 13:00 at one point, but then I was like, "this is gay."

95 pushups. monstrous. haha.

running isnt gay. >.> but then again, ive never run for "training". i just run when they tell me i have to. haha. :swashy:

Running two miles may have its purpose, but it is stupid IMO for my career. If I'm chasing an inmate, and I'm actually close enough to him to follow him by running, it'd be much more useful to be able to sprint and tackle him, than to be able to stroll behind him at 7mph for a couple miles. Really, if I have to chase an escaped inmate for that long, I'm just going to shoot him anyway.

ahaha, im not calling it applicable in the least. if it were, we'd be running in body armor with our guns.

i just like running. lol.

Wow...

I pretty much start to give up and/or fail after 30 pushups and 50 situps. I might be able to do 20 more if I really have to.

It probably takes me about 20 minutes to run 1 mile.

Besides, I don't think the soreness you get the next week is worth it.

running is ++mental. :good:

once you figure out that your legs really have more endurance than your lungs and that your lungs really are a pair of pussies, you can run forever. that whole "second wind" experience is really pretty cool the first few times.
