For the past 3 years, I've been having on and off wrist pain whenever I lift weights. It usually happens when I do some sort of forearm exercise or when benching.
What happens is, halfway through a set, I get this sharp pain in my wrist but the minute I drop the weights, the pain is gone. I've also realized that it only occurs when I lift the heavier weights.
Any Idea of what this could be? Could I be pinching a nerve? I'll probably go to the doctors sometime this month
Thanks!

I would definitely try stretching your wrists out, it has helped me tremendously when it comes to wrist pain, which I don't get anymore
heres a shitty example of some wrist stretchesuO0ZbU2pmP8

I get wrist pain, I think it's because I often juggle for extended periods in subzero temperatures.

check your form....when benching is are your hands lined up with your forearms or is there a slight angle at the wrist?

YES, bad form will kill your wrists, especially if they are not flexible. Your wrist joints may be weak also, which can be fixed.

There is an ankle harness for the gyroball as well. I think it's inferior though, since you can't engage the toes like you do your fingers.

If your are only ever having wrist pain as a sharp retort when your wrists are in a position of bad leverage (example midway through a biceps curl) you might simply try tensing the muscles in your forearms, wrists, and hands. This will provide support to take the brunt of the stress off of the joints.
But even if your issue is fixed so simply, as a tricker, it wouldn't be a bad idea to condition your wrists anyway for the future.
See my post in a similar thread about wrist conditioning.
