I trained in the gym for about 6 months but it is starting to get boring and i want to start tricking , Should i continue training in the gym to get stronger for tricking or should i do TKD for flexibility ?
I prefer going for TKD myself because i also wanna do it for self defence , but what do u guys think ?

If you want flexibility, then stretch.
If you want self defense, quit TKD.
If you want to trick, then trick.

If you dont have enough cash you could take the winter off tricking and do a lot of strength training, work on your kicks and flexibility etc. and then wait until its warm outside and go tricking on grass. thats totally free.

tkd and self defence should never be used in the same sentence.

Continue gym, while practicing you flexibility and basics at home... and also save up money for TKD :/

What complex said.
If you want to trick, then trick.
There's no need to prepare yourself for tricking. Sure flexibility will help, but you're not going to get better at tricking if you're not tricking...

Lift and get stronger and train kicks and stretch at home, or just do whatever the fuck you want

Start playing soccer. It will make your tricks amazing.

Stretch for flexibility. Most TKD classes have you do a bunch of static stretching before exercising, which is bad so you should do maximal stretching at home after class (like before bed) so that you can hold back and not work hard on the static stretching before class.

TKD's probably better than nothing for defense, since they usually teach you how to hop around and cover your face, like some kind of shitty boxing. You learn balance in sparring, and how to hit pads which might help in hitting someone in a fight. It's not the best but it's not totally useless for self defence.
