I'm not really new to the fourms, but i decided it's time for me to get serious about tricking. The only move I have right now is the tornado kick and even that is crap.

Ok so i have a few questions.

I know I need to get myself some dynamic flexibility and juji has articles on it.
i have cut soda and crap from my diet. But as for actual tricking what should I do first?

Should I do the 5 TRICK basics on the main site.
or
Should I learn all the basic KICKS (round, crescent, ect)

I want decent tricks later on so shouldn't I learn the kicks before the tricks? or does it even matter?
Thanks for any help.

And as a side not I was wondering if a dlegtwist was like a mixture of a dleg with a btwist before landing, or is it something completely different. Just curious.

ah damn your in kent, nice i used to live there I'm in seattle, I would start working on the kicks first but also in conjuction with a back tuck, butterfly kick, and keep grinding out that tornado.

yeah. start on the back tuck too.
spotters really help. especially if they're masters in some martial arts place.
i just landed mine and since i do tkd i can easily get the btwists and the corkscrews quite easily.
i just never tried em :P

You should get good basic kicks first, since they can help with other tricks. Then you should learn the basics: B-kicks and aerials, 360s and tornadoes, and front and backflips.
To do a doubleleg twist, you start out like a regular doubleleg then straighten out and spin one more time before landing.

work on your basic kicks as you work on basic tricks. you will notice a lot of progression as your basic kicks improve. Always push yourself outside of your comfort zone and you will progress fast. Good luck man

Thanks everyone you where all very helpful. I'm going to work on my basic kicks specifically the hook, axe, round, and crescents. When those are good I'll get a b-kick, backtuck, and turn my tornado into a 540. I'll just see where that takes me.

Thanks again for the advice guys.
