Accountability....
No one really likes it, but we all need it. It's one of the best motivations I can think of. I wanted to write this thread because I want to be held accountable and to mark the day that I change my lifestyle. I don't live to far from Juji, and I want to be able to trick with the best of 'em so I can go visit Juji and we can trick.
I'm brand new to tricking, and really brand new to a healthly lifestyle. So here are my stats:
Age: 24
Height: 6'1''
Weight: 250lbs
Verticle: 21'' - 22''
I am currently working on putting together a diet regime to drop my weight down to 200, possibly less.
My flexibility and kicks are probably worse than someone with out legs, but I'm working on those as we speak. If anyone has any tips or advice to give a beginner, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Start with basic kicks like round kicks, hooks, inside and outside crescents.
After that work on prereqs for the basics:
Tornado kick
Pop 360 kick
Butterfly kick
Cartwheels
(Backflip)
After you get those down you can start learning the basics. Note that the better your prereqs are, the easier you will learn advanced moves. You need a strong foundation. Working a lot on the basic stuff will make your moves look cleaner too.
Other advice:
Read the main page;
Meet up with other trickers;
Join wushu/capoeira/bboying/taekwondo/gymnastics classes;
Set goals (by the end of the winter I want to be able to do [insert move]);
If you have trouble learning a move just ask here but provide a vid.
Good luck man :good:

Your advice was perfect saunders good stuff :)
Try get some strength training going if you can it will help alot!
and your pretty heavy dropping some lbs would defiantly help, i agree with everything saunders said, get the basics really good. Another word of advice you might want to read up on sessh's tricking dictionary look at the class A tricks because some of the tricks saunders listed might be hard for you or maybe easy, but you could find some other tricks from the class A tricks even easier, different people find different difficulty in tricks...
Good luck :)

Atlanta is a shorter driving distance to huntsville than birmingham is. according to google maps, and the straight line distance from atlanta is a butt load longer. wierd.

Well, if you weigh 13 pounds, maybe eat some food. Also, work basic kicks, DEADLIFT..., and stop hijacking other people's threads and asking the same exact questions the 'origional' poster' did with your own stats inserted, not that I care:smile:
