Hi im new-ish to tricking and i was wondering if someone could give me some ideas to enhance my strength and flexibility specific to tricking. I want to point out first of all i have very limited knowledge in this area but i have read through the various stickies listed above. SO far i have had no injuries and i have access to a weights room 5 times a week and a gymnasium about once every 3 weeks and obviously grass to practice tricks on.

I weight 57kg and im 5 ft. 5.

I have been doing parkour for almost a year too so have built up most of my strength from that but also from capoeira which i began 6 months ago and obviously tricking has helped improve strength in certain areas too.

Any general advice or help would be greatly appreciated, cheers...

btw. I am limited on money and therefore can't really afford to spent a lot on books and what not. Thanks

If you have read all that stickies, that is alls you need. Start rippetoes and start stretching.

If you're low on cash and are just starting out here's what you do:
1. Option 1: Download Mark Rippetoe's "Starting Strength".
Option 2: go to www.stronglifts.com, download his program and read the articles on the page.
2. Get access to some heavy weights and a barbell. In a addition, you will also need either: squat rack and a benchpress OR a powerrack. You can also get a pull up bar and dumbbells but that's optional.
3. Start drinking milk
4. Start following training programs suggested in step 1.
5. Watch the progress

Now, obviously, you have access to a weight room, so step 2 won't be a problem. Unless you're lactose intolerant, drinking milk won't be a problem either. If you are though, find other caloric dense foods.

Good luck!

5x5 is probably not the best for someone starting out with resistance training. I reckon Starting Strength is alot better in that case.

I'm just curious and because of the reason Rahf mentioned. I didn't bash him for not liking it I was merely asking why. Jesus christ Skippy you're a dissapointment.
