I'm currently using Adobe Premiere CS3 and After Effects to edit snowboarding footy, and it seems like a pretty good combo, covers all the bases. What are you guys using for editing and why?

Also, what is the best program for de-interlacing footage? You know those annoying lines that appear on some cameras when objects are moving behind a darker background, etc.

For those of you interested in some more advanced editing, Knife Show has some really sick effects going on, check out both of these videos on Youtube and don't forget to watch them in HD!:

Ahahhaha Knifeshow WINS! :D

I'm mainly just working with Final Cut Pro, I export using Compressor. Will later get to learn to use Color, Motion and maybe Shake :)

Having used Pinnacle most of my life, I finally switched to something at least a little more advanced. Sony Vegas 9. I'm still pretty new with it though but in combination with AutoGK for compression I seem to be doing all right. I couldn't get myself to jump straight to Adobe, though maybe someday.

My editing is too simple for it to be necessary.

Yeah that particle effect is freaking sweet. I've always wanted to do something like that with tricks. I use FCP for editing, and want to learn to use compressor because I feel like it works hand in hand.

I got Final Cut Studio and Adobe CS3, so I'm trying to learn several of the applications right now.

How is Final Cut? I'm guessing a step above Premiere, but I'm no expert in Premiere so it probably wouldn't be necessary anyway haha.

What program is used for the particle effects?

How do you guys de-interlace your footage?
