at da morning when i to dynamic strehses when i do out-side cresents ther a littel crack noise gouing throw the place my hip meets my leg

anywho at first it didn't hurt but now it hurt's a bit should i stop douing thous or what i'am a fraid that it might start to hurt badly:/

I've been wondering, are cresent (in or out) dynamic stretches that do anything uniquely that front and side raises don't? It's very difficult to figure out how they work since they work through multiple planes.
Presumably at the start/end of the inner/outer crescent it stretches the abductors, and at the end/start of the inner/outer crescent it stretches the adductors? In the middle of the arc when you're kicking the highest it would be like a front raise I guess?
It makes me wonder, are there dynamic crescent stretches done with the back leg too? Isn't there some spinning double kick in wushu like that?
