Which martial art do you think has the best workout? I dont think judo or karate's workouts are to good. I think MMA is the best for workouts.
I am in MMA by the way

A self made workout is better than most workouts instructors give people nowadays. Personally I think muay thai and wushu have the best workouts.

This is a stupid and highly subjective thread.

Hung Gar kung fu imo is the best for intense workouts , at least thats what i was tought was like 60 % physical and 40% techniques( they were highly intense too). But here in malta nobody teaches muay thai , the bu***hit is only karate and kick boxing are the main and for me they dont even stand a chance against other other martial arts.

Haha, threads like this make me glad the MA forum was turned into testicles, and then hit with a hammer.

This question is in the same line as "Which martial art is the best?!"

No 1 is the best, It depends only on your goal as a person.

I think one which is fundamental for tricks could be Capoiera, and i only say this cause most of them can fly lol either that or there just brazilian

For me capoeira has meant that I stretch some muscles that I never even knew I had. I have done both karate and judo as well and neither of these make me feel half as good as I do after a good capoeira workout.

It is hardly the same question as "which martial art is the best?" is it now ..

It is a question with clearly measurable factors ..

Having done classes in most martial arts for the most "intense" as in the one that requires the most energy, burns the most calories etc I would say it is largely sport wushu .. and I am not talking about wushu done in the western world.

Wushu classes in China are normally 2.5/3hours constant and I am yet to find another martial art that requires you to be able to be as flexible and jump so high and have so much stamina - it is more a sport than a martial art .. hence my choice :P

Yes, Wushu has the best workouts... for Wushu.

Shut up Jingy. Brazilian jiu jitsu is the most versatile physically, considering it trains you aerobically and anaerobically, you need fast reflexes and balance, and is also the most intense as you are basically pitting your strength against someone else's until one of you gives up, a la wrestling or fighting for your life

You're all sorely mistaken if you didn't answer Bruce Lee. Doesn't matter if the answer doesn't grammatically or categorically fit.

"Shut up Steve" ... :P haha what a great argument.

Having done them both I am saying .. for me .. Wushu is still more of a workout .. its just an opinion ..

You gyus struggle so much to have a conversation - its all "IM RIGHT - YOUR WRONG!!!! WAHWAHWAH" with everyone .. =p

haha

Whichever martial art. As long as the center you're training at has the most bad-ass instructors on the planet.

taking liberty to change your question myself, i think my wing chun/ hung gar kung fu class can get quite insane. we have fun drills called four minutes of hell and what not. looking at the topic realistically, unless if someone has taken every martial art which might i add is fucking impossible then no one will have a straightforward answer. :) for someone to say that they think that one martial art is good or bad imo just reflects one's ignorance and lack of knowledge. you may also want to consider that every school-no matter what style of fighting has their own routine, and therefore making that variable kajilllionize(made up number)

edit: TRICKING IS THE BEST WORKOUT XD (but i thought tricking isnt a martial art rabble rabble rabble.....)
