On monday, I did light front squats and when I went home I had a stretching session. The next day, my knee hurt whenever I bent my leg(heel to glute actions). Today I'm still having the problem and I've been stretching a lot but it isn't helping. It usually hurts if bend my leg quickly and if I slowly contract, there will be pressure in the knee then it will crack.
P.s. I can't see a physio about it because I'm already waiting for an appointment about my lower back. It would be a pain to add neck, upperback problems, and knee problem to the list :dead:

Front squats will put more force on the knee due to the inherent 'knees forward' position where the hamstring are unable to contract to help balance the anterior force.
I can't do them because of a meniscus problem.
Widen your stance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIciUYeZez8), post a video.

I always widen my stance more than usual, and my knees don't hurt during the actual squatting :eh:
Now that I think of it, I did some jump squats with a weight as a pre stretching warm up and maybe I landed fugly or something.

It's not like you have to have a separate appointment for each injury. Be smart and save both yourself and the system some time.

Yep you always mention recent problems even if you made the appointment for something else. Like I came in to see if I needed another shot to update mumps immunity and I'm all "hey, gimme the flu shot too while you're at it, and test me for hepatitis, and an ECG."

I know I'm paranoid haha. It's doing better today so hopefully by the end of next week it will be completely gone.
You sound like the injury-prone old me. I used to have a tendency to get minor injuries during heavy deadlifts/squats, and other compound movements. I can't stress enough the importance of:
- good flexibility
- a proper warm-up (a light jog, dynamic stretching, light squats etc)
- good form
