I started tricking or attempting to trick a week or two ago, but I could not use my camera cause I lost the charger. So I took a few vids and realised how much I suck. I already know I'm unco which sucks. Tricking is so awesome and I really want to do it but I lack to coordination and watching myself is such a demotivator!

I suck so much, I can't even pull off a decent looking tornado kick. Science damn it. WHY DO I SUCK SO MUCH!!

Will I ever gain coordination? Will I ever do a frickin' Bkick? Am I expecting too much? I think not. RAAAAAAAAGRH

Will I gain coordination? Is this not unusual to suck this much? I mean from what Juji wrote i'm a loser, haha.

Be positive, you won't get anywhere with that attitude.
Don't let youself get frustrated, just have fun and you will learn along the way.

There is a thread like this every couple months.
So you are not alone.

First of all, be glad you are critical of yourself. It seems to me there are a lot of trickers that do not possess this ability and end up having very ugly tricks due to it...

The main thing though is keep at it!
Try taking up some extracurricular training as well, stuff like stretching and lifting help a ton. I am assuming have very little athletic background? Which means you could probably use for some conditioning anyways.
But other than that, just keep tricking. Things will start to click over time.
Everyone is different and is starting from a different level of athleticism. So not everyone has the same learning curve but after awhile things start picking up no matter where you started from...and it can only get more fun as time goes on.
So stay positive and keep training.
woo. :good:

I was frustrated when I made the post cause I know I suck so much and I really hope it clicks.. I need to get some weights and do more stretching and I really would be extremely happy if I could do a Tkick or a Bkick that looked decent haha.

This feeling never goes away, no matter how good you become. Trust me, I've been tricking for seven years now.

I hope you are being srs. At least you have people to say you are doing it well. I won't even bother uploading a video unless it sparks a Lolnami.

You've been doing it for 3weeks or so now you say?
Don't get discouraged so easily, for some people tricking takes alot longer than others just because some poeple pick up stuff faster than others.
Stick at it and you will soon get alot better, stretch hit the weights, and maybe start tae-kwon-doe or some kick based martial arts? It helped me a lot with proper technique.

Thanks for the positive replies, I will continue training no matter how much I suck and I will try to get my friend who is also starting tricking to do TKD with me at the local MA center.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I never suggested I would quit, I just expressed frustration. The "I will continue blah blah" was just a statement that I will continue, I was going to in the first place, damn it.

Asshole.

Looking at samplers and people doing tricking motivates and pumps me to try and get good. It's hard to feel like quitting something so awesome.

Don't give up man. We all went through this stage at least once. It will get easier, you will start being really satisfied with your tricks and improvements.

Find someone to trick with in your area and keep it up!

The only way to actually get better is to just get out there and trick man! You won't get any worse so just have fun with it.

i started tricking.. hmmm begining of last year
I can land a Bkick on 1leg and 1hand (fail)
A Backflip, which a learnt about 2-3 months ago because they're quite easy once you get your head around it.
I recently got my Pivot Gainers back outside of gym, thanks to abit of alcohol.

Thats all i can do, then again, I'm unfortunately very lazy and don't commit much.
I also have no backyard and am too self-conscious to stack it in public.

But i still get alot of fun out of it :D
and I'm slowly learning.

slowly.
