Yea i sort of knew my arguement had a whole in it and that i certainly don't take every video i see just as a video but then again with the BYN video's the actual people were idiots as well. If they had appologised at the start then people would just think the video was retarded.

I feel that the video was more about the stupidity and ill-informed nature of the situation; that girl was trying to represent XMA in a manner that made her out to be a total idiot, when she's (supposedly) a 3rd dan in mcdojo-kwondo and you'd hope that would give her at least some clue as to the falseness of XMA.

hmm. I think thats a limited analagy. I think the more mature of us actually look at someones actions as well as their words, and if BYN had the leet skills to back up their mouths, we'd accept that they were assholes, but at least they were good at what they did. BYN are truly awful at what they do.

I agree with the highlighted section, however I think that people who do XMA should take it with a pinch of salt. Throughout doing TKD, ive always understood that its not the 'ultimate' martial art, and that there are flaws in it. I abhore people who fail to see that there are negatives to anything they do*, or trying and represent something that they are [clearly] so ill-informed about. Sure, its probably not her fault that she doesn't know how much people proverbially spit on XMA, but still.

If I'm not mistaken, XMA differs from tricking because of a couple very important things.

1. You have to pay to do it
2. You wear silly cloth outfits
3. Kids actually think they are learning a martial art (instead of a mixture of techniques and styles)
