I found out about tricking a few years ago by my cousin The13thAce (some of you may know). I kept telling myself I will start but I never got off my lazy ass to do so . So I thought today would be a good day to start preparing myself. I started working on flexibility by doing some dynamic stretches. I was doing some outside crescents and felt and heard a clicking sound in my hip with both legs. Is this something to be worried about? Will it turn into a major problem in the future?
Thanks
oh hey!!! Matt is awesome!!!
but anyways..if it doesn't hurt, its nothing to worry about for now. However, it may turn into a problem later. I can't really tell you if it will or wont. Hopefully it won't end up bad and will just be something there.
good luck with your training!

if it become painful, use pain released patch, and it become more painful and seem worse. You need to go see a doctor to get Xray! dude next time warm up first, i mean really warm up first. Some straight is nothing. Next time do some jogging and straight all parts of your body as well. Hope everything will go well with you! i'll pray for you

lol dude wtf he isn't dying haha :P
I don't profess to know a lot about this but the way he warmed is fine. Just keep going about your ways of doing things and if it gets worse see a doctor (Y)
Sounds like snapping hip syndrom, a lot of people get it when they start tricking and do outside crescent kicks, I think you can look it up on wikipedia.

ok, sorry for being stupid, but exactly where are the clickings that you are are talking about in this thread?
do you mean in the connection of the leg to the lower body? i.e, the point that's touching the balls? :P

It's hard to pinpoint exactly where it is haha. You can point to it on a picture of the body but it's hard to describe where it feels like it pops.

omg...not that thing. WHAT HAVE WE DONE?! haha.
however, i'd recommend that you start kicking low first. get warmed up stretch FULLY so your body is completely stretched and do more kicks, but higher. if your hips still click..hmm not sure..probably what people have been telling you to do..haha.

i used to have your problem. turns out i had weak hip muscles. so what did i do? made them stronger. and sure enough, i have snappin' hip syndrome no more:) case in point you may also have weak hips. experiment, and flirt with it, but dont aggravate it.
