I know it's time machine, but does it make anyone a bit worried about trying a front flip again? If not, post a video that does put you off tricking or a certain trick in anyway. And if none of the videos put you off you can just lol at their pain.

If you feel worried after watching this, watch davids 2008 sampler, and after 10 sec you know you not going to die :)

i saw someone mush their ankle in right in front of me a few weeks ago, breaking it however not as badly as in the video.
It didnt put me off tricking. If its going to happen its going to happen, theres only measures you can take to reduce the risk. Ive had to stop doing tumbles and restrict what moves I can throw 100% of the time due to my shoulder, and I know that if I did something as carelessly and downright retardedly as that guy in the video, I wouldnt expect sympathy, or be put off becuase I knew what I did was a bad idea.
Also, this video is old as hell!
He must have really weak ankle, even if it is an arkward landing.
Mine hyperextend when i do weird stuff and i cant trick for like 20mins..So this doesnt really bother me

I like to imagine that, having made it this far, my bone density has increased enough to prevent such a dramatic and traumatic fracture.

GAWDDDD!!! LOL!
On a side note, front flips are DANGEROUS!! I tore my PCL and ACL last November overrotating a front flip on a plyo tumbling track! =(
wtf are his bones made out of!? Glass?! Geez, one could think to drink a little more milk than that...either way, they were being retards about it.
At first I thought you meant people mocking tricks and crashing on purpose turning me off to tricking, but then I see what you meant. Injuries will happen and if they happen to you, they can cripple your confidence, but being able to overcome that and still perform to the ability you KNOW you can is what makes the difference and really sets you apart from most people. I'll never forget the first time I said screw it and went for my gainer despite the traumatizing crash I felt of landing on my head the first few times several months back. Landing it that moment gave me the biggest rush of my life, as will anyone who overcomes a fear that great.
Imo it happened to him only because he did the stunt without any consciousness of what he was doing. If he had tensed up the muscles it would probably never happen. oh well, anyway, it doesn't put me off tricking, i know my feet can take much more than that haha.

nothing really makes me not want to trick. the ankle destruction was epic, but it only like that because hes an idiot. jumping around all willy nilly with no technique is only gonna get u fucked up, so i can't feel sorry for the guy.
the only thing that gets close to putting me is flip your lid wear. the tricking is dope, but the ghettoness is not doing for me :eh:

Honestly, I do have to push images like this out of my mind while I trick. It's not something that I'm able to brush off or draw 'inspiration' from. If I were to visualize a 90˚ angle tibia during a session, it definitely would put a damper on things until I replaced it with something else.
Trying to support yourself on a serious fracture, only to have it flop out from underneath you, is one of the most sickening things I've experienced.
