Important Camera Question

Dave (shengoikee) told me that if you use different brand tapes in your camera, it fucks the tape head in it.

Ive used 4 or 5 different tapes in my camera and its been fine though. HAVE I BEEN GETTING AWAY WITH IT? IS MY CAMERA TOO LEET?

It only messes up if you use a tape that has been in a HD cam in a non hd cam. And vice versa.

This is because non hd records in DVAVI format and HD records in MPEG2.

me and pete had problems with both our cams because of this.

make sure you wind your tape before friday andy :wink:

so, filming in DV and then filming it over in HDV isn't good for ones camera?
