View Full Version : What's this, and how does my b-twist look
I've been doing it for a while, but what's the second trick thing in my video, if it even counts as anything.
and hows my b-twst? I know I've improved, but is it good?

I know you guys hated it when I edited my video once before, but I just really like editing... :ouch:

If you love editing, make a sampler or something. When asking for help, lots of flashes and zooming n shit = :bad:
Yeah, I know, though I need to practise a wider variety of tricks to make a sampler (a good one at least)
Though I tried not to cut anything in this one (setup and stuff)
and, originally, this wasn't to ask for help, but rather to work on editing. But when I noticed that I didn't even know the name of the second trick, I decided just to submit this video here, rather than go through my files again to find that specific video (slow computer = pain with HD!)
I think I should have posted this under the video section, haha...
EDIT: I just watched some random video and I think it's a sideswipe? Don't get pissed if I'm wrong, It just looked similar

Looks kinda sideswipe-ish, but it needs more inversion:tongue:
Ok, I guess I'll aim for a sideswipe now.
It'll be nice to get some more tricks down. Then I actually make a sampler! (It'll be epileptic as hell)

yep uninverted sideswipe/layed back 540.
For the btwist, DIP LOW. If you dip low then expolde up with your chest, kicking leg, and jumping leg (at the same time) you will get more hieght. Id also suggest wraping a little tighter with your arms, they are flailing a little bit, don't let that happen and the move will be more powerful. I like to think of the wrap like and elbow with the left arm fallowed by a hook punch with the right.

yeah sideswipe was the second trick, also what would really help your b-twist, is simply practicing your b-kick, then youll really understand how to float in a b-twist
Well, I can get 'em a bit higher, like this:

But my problem is at the end. I try to open up, but I guess I just need more practise, rather than once a fortnight

Everything looked fine to me : / Though the sideswipe wasn't inverted, it's well on it's way there.
Damn, you trick once a fortnight? I trick like twice a week if I can and your btwists and 540s look better than mine :ogre:

When you do them like this (higher) just keep that kicking leg back and reach hard with the landing leg. It will make your b twists look that much better, easier to land, and easier to keep your chest up for swing thrus.
not bad looking at all though
