Have you guys ever had someone that tricks with you that just seems to be able to progress and land tricks with no problem at all?

I have a friend that once he does it ONCE, he can do it any other time ANYWHERE with complete consistency. He hardly ever conditions, and I just don't get it! It is so frustrating to ME since I condition every night and I get all pumped when I land a trick, and he just asks how I did it. So I tell him, he crashes a few times, then normally lands it that session.

You might think "Well he just tricks more".

But he doesn't, maybe once to twice a week. Why is it that he can instantly do everything and I CAN'T?

people aren't the same. some learn faster, some cant understand the physics behind flipping/twisting/kicking, some have prior experience in physical activity, etc.

this kid (doesn't trick, but can do round offs and back tucks) came to our gym one day and told me he did a high jump over 5'10'' and i told him, do a gainer. so i show him a jstep and he does a gainer. then i told him to gainer flash and after a few attempts he lands it. i was amazed because it took me over a year to land a gainer flash.

Coordination? More athletic? Mindset?
It could be a number of things.
Don't let it affect your training though.
If you are doing as you say and conditioning every night and training hard it will pay off for you in the end.

It's the same reasons why some guys of the highschool basketball team play in the nba while other play it with their children in the driveway. Don't be mad for not playing basketball in the nba, there are other things in live than just playing basketball. Maybe you're good at painting or rock the piano like no other. And as long as it's fun there's nothing bad about playing basketball in the driveway.

haha, my friends consider me "that guy" (even though I suck at tricking in general)

my friend spent a long time crashing a cartwheel frontflip and got all pissed about not being able to land it, and I got it on my first try. My videos are filled with comments of "I hate you"

but as I sent I'm mediocre at best

I could say that compared to the people ive seen trick I progress rather fast.
But there is one kid in my team named silvan.
He just does the most difficult shit on first try.
Asked him to do hook>aerial>missleg>gms switch> swing cork last training.
And he did it first time. Its not fair yes

Or maybe you're just a genetic failure, who has no special disposition to anything. People shouldn't forget about that...

Edit: I'm not being mean here...

I would word it as distribution of talents though, as someone could also say that not being able to draw, not being good at music, or not being good at any other thing in life makes you an genetic failure. It just depends on the point of view.

And because of the way our society works today, your success in Life isn't really bound to our physical abilities anymore. Of course there are always people who just happen to be good at everything. But even then it depends on what you call good.
