Finally! I did my first "satisfying" Tornado Double today.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/lx78ej
It was quite challenging to get the "re-chamber" part visible. Now I'm just gonna drill it more and get it cleaner, then I'll use it in combos. :wicked:
I'm sorry that I putted it in sendspace (very small file). Youtube didn't let me upload it for some reason, and Divshare didn't came to my mind lol.

u cant really see the second kick and the cam quality doesnt help the situation either. i'd say itd probably help more if u turned your hips over, flick the first kick as if it was a low and raise the second kick to show it more. kind of a low/high double kick. that might make it more clearer for your second kick.
i mean i def couldnt tell it was 2 kicks til the slow mo. my suggestion might just be another option for you to try out.

I'm not watching it unless it streamed, and neither will the majority of other people. Upload to vimeo.

In all honesty I wasn't trying to be a douche. But for the most part not many people will want to DL it. Just sayin'.

I'm not sure which TND you're trying to do but I'm assuming that you're trying to do the "twist2round" version...which can be found here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHB9dwwb2MA) [at 1:33].
The thing about this version of the TND is that it is really difficult to get that first kick how it should be. Like I mentioned before, what you want to do is a twist kick (http://www.usawif.com/Twist_kick1.jpg)...which similar to a front kick, but your knee is twisted a little more towards the outside. When you do this properly within a TN, you'll notice that your kick is naturally fired off to the side [this is what you want].
Now here comes the hard and sometimes painful part, after you stick the twist kick, you know need to rechamber and turn your hips over to the opposite side and launch a round kick. You want the round kick to extend out 45-degrees past the target.
So if you kick the twist kick at the 45 before the target, you want the round kick to point at the 45 on the other side of the target once it reaches full extension.

how the hell do you even remember things like that haha
he took martial arts...
it is all core kicking technique, just applied to trick kicks.
i think every tricker should learn their kicking technique.
it would help immensely.
anyways, i have only seen a couple people do decent looking tornado doubles. so unless you have very nice basic kicks or a ton of kicking speed / power this is going to be very hard to make look good.

Cause I wrote the book on it
Nah...in all seriousness though, I've studied this shit far too long now. But the more I think about it, the more I come to the conclusion that every tricker with decent experience should know.
This is one of the issues that I brought up in the thread: "Double-edged Sword". Many people know what's "good" from what's "bad" when they see it, but not many know the specific things that makes something good or bad...so they just give insufficient advice and say things like "kick harder".

It's not only that but you remembered a (random) video which had a clip of it.
Thanks for the in-depth analysis though. I've never even heard or this trick before. I may have seen it but most likely overlooked it. :juji:
