I don't know if everyone has been keeping up, but Billy Bilang is really bringing the fucking justice. Lately, Billy has been uploading vids from the immense archive he's acquired over "god knows how many years".Some of the "old-heads" already have seen these vids before, but I pretty sure that it's been such of a long time...that even they don't quite remember everything.

At this moment, Bilang.com (http://bilang.com/) is featuring Vimeo vids of CLN 2002, French Open 2002, and French Open Revenge 2002 [which is rare]. I was watching some of these videos a couple of days back, and I completely forgot about Partick Tang's attempt at DCORK [which was probably one of the first ones done by a tricker without Capoeira experience]. Regardless of how long you've been tricking, get your ass to Bilang.com (http://bilang.com/) or Billy's Vimeo Page (http://vimeo.com/billybilang), and start downloading these gems.

Well, it's simple! No one will ever get a better looking snapu than Steve's . (XKC senior - 0:23)

Haha cool! Was Steve Terada in his "prime" back then or? He seems unbelievably good, especially the snapus haha.

I wouldn't say that, he was just so much better than everyone else. He had speed, style, technical skill, and power...he even had several moves that were exclusive to him. Terada was like the first guy [aside from Manny Brown] who was the total package. There really wasn't anyone who could really compare, until Luu came along.

I wonder how much more scope for change tricking has in it. Everything is so different now.

edit: Also I forgot quite how long danny G has been tricking, it was cool seeing him in these older vids.

man.... seven years... unbelievable how much everything progressed. Back then nearly nobody does swings or CT ( except terada, emig and a few others) and today it's the big game... I think nobody of them thought that

All I can say is that I love this stuff so much. This is the beginnings of tricking, and I just want to learn as much as I can about it's humble start. I wish there was an even better way to learn about this.

Ahhh, the good old days. I remember seeing these types of tricks and being so totally inspired. I love how clean everything is, it's so fresh, so pure! Even though it might be seemingly "low-level" compared to the ridiculous stuff people do nowadays, it was so clean and understandable! I love it.

Billy uploaded his trip to California 2003. To me, this was when MAT was super strong...even though we can match these combinations skill for skill, it's just too damn impressive that this stuff was thrown in 2003.

I mean, back then...Boxcutters, Double Corks, C10's, multiple swingthrus, and HC9's were pretty rare...and these guys where chunking them in combos. And even though it was pretty extreme, it was all pretty damn clean as well. I mean, everyone was balanced. I think this is when I made it a personal mission for me to eventually meet Chris deVera and Team Loopkicks.
