Where are all of you at? I haven't tricked for atleast a year or two but I would like to get back into it. I'm looking for a gym around the toronto area or any cities around toronto. Please let me know, i'd like to begin tricking again.

no gyms in downtown toronto really, only steeles west but steeles west is pretty gay. scarborough is good though.

I can do backflips, frontflips, sideflips, double legs, butterfly twists, 540, 720. I wanna try some more complex tricks like gainers and wall-flips and some other stuff but I've been to afraid to try most of them.

Why don't you google "gymnastics" and specific areas around Toronto? I train mostly at birchmount and sometimes Scarborough Elites. There's also East York gym and Steeles West like Dave said. I have heard of a gym in Missisauga, but I don't know what it's called.

I didn't want to go to a regular gymnastics gym. I wanted to be around my own kind so it wouldn't feel akward. Plus if other people were there I could learn from them and socialize at the same time. Some of the best and most progressive sessions I ever had were at gyms with other trickers.

Steeles West and Birchmount is pretty close to me but I heard they don't have foam pitts which is the main reason I want a gym for. I used to go to east york when I did parkour but when the guy opened his own gym he stopped hosting the meets. Do any trickers still go there? Because I really liked east york.

Scarborough elites is pretty far but from what I've heard its probably the best gym available. I might come down there as well but its like a 45 minute drive.

I didn't go that often but when I did go I always had a hell of a session. Everytime I went there I always learned something new. I think I went around 6 times in total but it was always spread out. I doubt anyone actually remembers me. Especially since I stopped coming for months. I basically stopped going when they switched buildings to make the gym larger. And that was only because my dad didn't want to drop me there anymore. But a lot has changed since then, I can drive myself now if I want to.

The only people I remember meeting there were Dovicka and Crazy Max, I met a few other guys as well but I hardly remember them, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't remember me after all this time. My name is Bruce by the way.

Are you still going to gym sessions anywhere around Toronto Amp? If so I would love to join you guys for a session one day.

I train at birchmount on a weekly basis, and although I was nervous about not having a foam pit there at first, it isn't that big of a deal. Considering you want to try things like wallflips and gainers, a foam pit isn't really the most needed thing.

Some of my buddies and I train at a gym in Burlington on Sunday evenings. A little far from Toronto but just letting you know about another option. Its a great gym, we always have good sessions there :)

Alright guys so I've narrowed my decision on which gyms I'm going to visit. I'll probably come down to one next weekend or so. I decided based on popularity and location.

Birchmount gymnastics 43km 38min
Scarborough gym elites 55km 48min
Burlington BG's Gymnastics 60km 44min

Could I please get some more information on the cost and time/availabilty of these gyms. Does the burlington gym have a foam pitt? If you have visited any of these gyms please give your opinions about them. The one I was most interested in visiting was probably Scarborough elites but because the meets are on weekdays it might be a problem. Thanks in advance for any help given.

okay well scar gym elites is the best you will find for the price it offers , 9 bucks a session..its not open on the weekend.. so dont go on a saturday.. go on thursday..or tomorrow

Birchmount is $28 the first time (including insurance), then $10 every other time. It's open tuesday and thursday, from 8-9:30 (this includes stretching). There's no foam pit, but there's a lot of room to do stuff and a tumble track to screw around on. The coaches are pretty awesome too.
