A long time ago I started a thread about what we hate about tricking now I am going the other way, what do u love?

I love it when you crash a trick for months and months and then finally you landed it and everyone watching goes mental.

I love it when you have a such a great day tricking you can talk to the people you were with that day and say, "you remember that day like 2 years ago when everything just went right and we landed ........ and ......., yeah those were the days".

I love it when a friend is so close to landing a new move and you say something to help them and then BAM they land it.

What do you love about tricking?

I love the awesome samplers; and by awesome, I mean the ones that actually FITS the mood and style of the song, rather than some hardcore rock song over pathetically edited footage (i.e. no video/music synch, over use of silly effects, no interpretation of the song's theme and feeling [though the last one is a bit diffucult to portray])

BAIIIIII!!!

But I haven't seen you on a session for ages! Oh weeeell

everythign with tricking is awesome. You feel like you've succeeded with something. You've got loads of friends, major good times, you manage to do something yourself, and evolve yourself. the only thinkg you wont get easy is a GF because you got over 9000 other men who also wants a girl.

let's see: it's like being the king - as nearly nobody does tricking here, so you make random ppl surprised
I like when I'm in the gym, the tricking music is loud, and I have all the floor to do whatever I want
but I hate those, when I wait days for the gym, and then I'm not able to toss anything. those times suck :dead:

Tricking makes me haaapppy

When I'm feeling completely down about everything else in my life, landing a new move makes everything better. It's what got me into tricking in the first place. That feeling was addicting. :O

I like how other people think that pretty simple things like backflip are almost impossible yet I find them easy to do. Really there was time when I was thinking that backflip was something unreal to learn.

I concur! This happens all the time with me.

And when you gain so much control over your tricks that you can throw them anywhere and feel the power after landing. It's like the tricks are ki and they charge you up and when you land you just bask in the power.

Awww totally agree dude, Hez is awesome!

I love that tricking has totally opened up the world to me, i.e. I've made various international connections and friends : D. Talking to Jan/Cathrine about the penguins in Bergen one day, then Scott about how many DAMN ROADS THERE ARE IN LA compared to all the fields around me, then George about Disneyland Paris and simon about the maths course in Scaaawwtland; it feels like you're simultaneously all over the planet.

I also love the fact that tricking drove me to actually start working out and get fit and flexible, 'cuz I just wasn't in good enough shape to keep progressing until I did. I'm not sure much else in the world could have driven me to get off my lazy ass.

Finally, highfives to mufijuju for being an ever-evolving beacon of inspiration in pretty much everything he does haha :juji:

By a fucking Music TV channel. I just sat there, watching "Murder on the dancefloor" by Sophie Ellis Baxter, when suddenly, just cutting into the song, the rickroll kicked in. I feel violated and greatly offended, to say the least.

Going back to basics with jan!!:P And the way that every tricker in the world, even if you've never met the person, is your superbestfriend!
And the way tricking encourages the uniqueness of styles, you adapt tricking to your body, not your body to the tricking..
And the fact that tricking is soo much more awsome than soccer;) hell yeah!

I love it when you get to the point where it seems like you have complete control over your body. Seeing as I dont really drill things like I should... lol But like I said, saying to myself, "okay now i'm going to (insert variation of a trick here)" And just being able to land it...
Feeding off each others energy!!!
Competitive spirit!
Being able to have a common bond between many people.
Knowing that what we do is amazing and that we are part of an elite group of human beings! lol
The life lessons you'll learn throughout your experiences whether it be social er blah blah blah...

I can't describe why I love tricking. I just have a passion for it. It makes me feel good when I'm tricking, but I don't really know exactly why. So I just trick.

Of course there are things on top of just feeling good whilst tricking. The community online and in real life is great, and it's a good way to hang out. And I love to perform and get the chance to trick in front of others occasionally.

I LOVE:

-Finally landing that trick you thought looked impossible when you first started tricking
-Doing a trick you are struggling with the wrong way and end up learning a new one out of it.
-Getting that feeling after you do a combo or a trick perfectly for the first time
-Feeling the results after you condition for a while
-Drinking too many energy drinks and get that urge to try EVERYTHING in one night.
-Watching Juji's youtube videos :juji:

I love when you do a trick and you think it looks dreadful, then you look at the video you just took and it looks fucking awesome.

Fucking...THIS. This is how my btwist progression vid was born.

The owner of the gym pestering you they're closed, but you don't want to leave because you just landed something you've been drilling all night.

The unspoken bond you share with every other guy crashing the mat with you while you train.

The fact that I stumbled upon tricking as my desire to continue Martial Arts was fading, and has re-ignited my passion.

The humility of the people that trick at the same gym I do. Everyone knows you have to start somewhere.

Listening to a song and knowing EXACTLY what you want the sampler you're going to do to that song to look like. (Im not good enough to make samplers yet but I got lots planned lol)

Getting looked at like you're a crazy person when you stop in the supermarket and throw something, just to see if you can on that surface.

Being able to put whatever emotions you have going through you into your tricks and tear the trick apart. (Rudy's Take me back anyone?)

Tossing tricks and becoming friends with a guy you met while you were stretching!!!

The list goes on and on!

one of the best moments, which I have in all the good session is when you take your shirt off, turn on the loud music, and the sun makes you feel that you're the FREAKING TRICKIN' BEAST and you do whatever you want, and you don't care if it looks good or not cuz it feels good. And I only take rest if I really can't trick anymore, and I just lie there thinking 'wow, that was awesome'. :juji:

I like that there I can decide when I want to trick. There is no trainings from 18 pm to 20 pm each wednesday for example. That means a lot to me. Because when I have signed up for course or have joined a sports team of any kind, I feel that I have to attend to the trainings. But when I trick, and don't feel to good one day, I can stay at home playing halo and nobody asking questions where I was last session and I still don't feel like I have skipped something.

And ofc that feel after I have landed something.

But what sucks about tricking as all those injuries :agony:

I love how I dont care if I get hurt doing something, because I know it is only going to make me better in the long run
