View Full Version : Hyper/Butterfly Twists Now Suck

I'm really pissed off because I used to have high, clean, and consistent Butterfly Twists and Hyper Twists. Over the past two months they have just gotten worse and worse, and I can't really even Hyper Twist anymore. :dead:

My first problem was that I wasn't getting across enough for flatspin, but I sorta fixed that. Now I think it's just a ton of little problems put together that are giving me hell.

Anyway, any tips that I can use to tweak them, or completely overhaul them would be great, thanks :smile:

you want to see a lot more of the length of your leg that you're throwing up from this camera angle

how is your bkick? make your bkick like this and then twist it!

also POP up like hell... thinkign about poppinnggg off the floor on take off helps with giving more height. The pop is an explosive lift of EVERYTHING YOU OWN

i think your right arm comes across a bit early but if you think about setting all of the above before you wrap it should work itself out

Should I just throw my head to the side harder and farther to get more across? Or just stall/set more?

And yeah, I really do need to pop more. It might just be a matter of me getting far too lazy with my btwists.

yeah man, get a lot more across - on some of your b-twists, you twist straight forward and that's not good hhaha. also, try to keep wrapping till you've completed your twist, and look up when you're finishing the twist - that'll make your upper body come upwards and your landing'll be better dawg :smile: on hypertwists, try treating them like a hyperhook with no kick - pump your left leg like you would in a single/not pumped c720! it might be confusing but that's what I do haha

Drill B-kicks, lots of them. Make them nice and floaty.

it looks like u generally need a ltittle more height, that way ur btwist landing will be more smothe. it looks like ur leg when it hits the ground its at a 45 degree angle off the ground if that makes sense. if u got a little more height that would help ur htwist too cos u need to rotate a little more to get a more comfortable feelin to them XD hope this helps man
