don't like em' to be honest. But sometimes people make teasers and it takes ages for the sampler to come out. In that case it's good, since some footage is better than no footage

i feel like people who are in the beginner mid level stage need to be careful not to blow their wad on the teaser and put their best combo at the time in there...cause they may hit that tricking wall and by the time they think their samplers done they realize..fuck i put my best shit in the teaser.

I think a lot of people are misusing the term "teaser". I've seen some 2-minute long veritable samplers that people have called teasers. I know everyone has better footage and has better stuff yet to be filmed, but you might as well be proud of what you've done.
Cali 2003 teaser was AWESOME! Same with Scottys vid!

I don't know, I kind of think that is the point of a teaser. To tease you  It gets people interested in whats to come.
Obviously it is a way to draw more attention to yourself. For bigger, more well known trickers they aren't necessary but personally I am kind of a lower end tricker and use them to draw views. I don't personally want lots of attention or anything but no one can disagree that a little extra pat on the back is nice. (assuming comments are positive ofc)

Jwall speaks the truth. Except I think any sampler that has had a significant amount of time put into it deserves a teaser. Dave C's Welcome Home teaser was so good and did exactly what a teaser should do - make you crave more.

Totte's teaser was a proper teaser, and the only teaser I've seen that was huge and still a teaser was Mr Double ABCD's 'Werewolf' sampler, I mean that just didn't show his level at all but was still above everything haha.
Training samplers are better than so called "teasers" since teasers are often badly edited and don't have any atmosphere and are just shit. I hate them, just see the video and then what, waiting 5 months for the sampler. Of course there are exceptions that prove the rule. Just make samplers and don't wait for so damn long, you can make two good samplers during three bad teasers and one sampler.
and yes, there isn't actually so much need for those AWESOMESICKHUGE moves I just want to see stuff from people since I guess mostly the samplers will be awesome without double swing doubles even though they could make it more awesome of course but you get the point. Like the teasers I've seen here in tt are from people whose samplers I have never seen and I would like to see :( but NO, I GIVE YOU A TEASER, and ANOTHER! BUT NO SAMPLER!
and also! It's good to have a teaser for events, it's supercool. Or if you have your sampler almost ready and you're gonna release it in a week then it's acceptable also.

I normally don't like teasers because they're too short and too annoyingly edited to be watched again once in a while, like it is done with normal samplers.
So although the tricks themself may be sick I normally don't even save them on my harddrive and will never see them again. So yeah to me it's a total waste of awesome footage I'd rather like to see in a short trainings, session, or scrap sampler.
I am aware that the negative points I mentioned are given by the definition of a teaser. So yeah I highly prefer short samplers like Scottys ATG sampler or munks "scrap" sampler (which was like the total opposite of scrap ahaah).
I understand why really good people make teasers, and like it if they make it atleast 1min long and don't cut off the landings or edit it too flashy and with too many effects.
So yeah I prefer something along the lines of a short pre-sampler-sampler if you want to put it this way.
As for myself I think teasers would be a total waste of everything, because no one will be teased anyway and no one will ever be waiting for footage of me. Same goes for other trickers who aren't on a certain level. (this isn't meant to sound mean, nor am I trying to make rules etc. I'm just saying a teaser isn't able to tease if the tricks aren't on a certain level)

They seem sort of pointless...Unless its going to be an exceptional video that is particularly long.
Then again if Juji comes out with another sampler a teaser would be fun to watch. So then again I guess it depends on the person.
a teaser is like getting a 1 minute blowjob resulting in the girl dissappearing
This sums up my feelings on the matter.
