Well, it's been about two years since I have tricked. I just started back up around a month ago, my hand positining is still sloppy and all that other stuff but I can't seem to get my torso to turn over on my aerials (specifically axe2aerial), it just seems to be stuck in a side2side mode.
J-jnife, only my 3rd and 4th attempt, I think I just need more practice but if anything is easily seen let me know:

Holyyyy shiz Anfeyd the height you got from your cheat set up is immense!
About the Aerial, I dunno, to me it looks absolutely fine, it looks really stylish and unique. If you want it going more over I'm not 100% sure as I have that problem with gymnast aerials too, alls I could suggest is drilling more proper cartwheels to get more used to the movement.

ooooh anfeyd footage!
Damn you get so much height from the cheat setup!
You're already turning your hips over, but you need to focus more on the second kick. Dont think about kicking, then turning your hips over and THEN hook, but try to think of it as a stepover hook from a cheat setup. You just need to "snap" your kicks more. If that was one of your first attempts you should have a kick-ass jacknife after some drilling.
For axe aerial - dip your torso down first and then swing your leg up. Juji talks about this in his tutorial on main page. As soon as I did this I landed it. =]

I dont see any advice of this kind, but rather the opposite--mainly keeping your torso high. Where is this?

think about it like this:
when u jump, u dont barely bend ur legs and jump you really squat down and then go back up.
do the same with ur torso, u needa really bend ur leg then spring back up. like a roller coaster! downn upppp

just do everything faster man.
with the aerial try and take a more powerful step into it, really kick that back leg up as hard as you can and pull your arms in tight.
On the jacknife just speed up the takeoff and you'll be fine, you can get ooodles (technical term) of height!
glad to see you're still tricking man :good:

MUSS POWER!!!!
Huge ass 540's haha, for jacknifes though you need to edit your technique.
Right now you are doing the 540 kick with the full rotation then trying to add a hook kick on the way downnnnnn.
You need to work them like a roundhouse where you snap your heel back and throw a skip hook in the air.
I've struggled with these for ages but never really drilled thm untill now and I was failing loads trying to do them your way.
I found that drilling rounds and snapping my heel back then skip hooking, was the firs thing that helped, then I started doing tornado's and then quickly skip hooking.
Then when I tried to combine it with the jacknifes I started to get the 2nd kick out abouve waist height isntead of it just flaiing out shit and me falling over or something.
Everyone with good jacknifes seem not to even hyper the tornado, they just roundhouse then rechamber quckly as they turn their hips over to chamber then throw the hook.
Theres a few other things I need to add but I neeed to goto sleeeep.
But it's the same technique as a pumped cheat 7, as opposed to a 540 kick with a hook on the end.
It's mroe of a cheat 7 with a round snapped before the pump on the first spot.
I will tlak more on thsi tomorrow!
