that was more of a laid back 540 gyro...you were straight like a line
I know the kick is shitty, but a 540 gyro? wtf?!
I've yet to see someone being at least a bit inverted on their snapuswipes, except Terada. Most ppl are just horizontal (which is a snapu), or just plain upright (which is not a snapu)
What do you think?

I think it looks like a snapu. You can see the kick. The kick can be better thou.

I second this notion. It looks more like a heavily pumped c7twist. I will work on making the kick more visible. I'll give it a shot tomorrow, although I won't be on plyo and most likely will just die :dead: :agony:

In terms of inversion, i dont think there's many people out there who invert their snapus more than what youve done, some people claim theyre doing a snapu with less inversion, so its definately not a 540 gyro.
It was better than a 720 twist too cos you stalled the first part just like a snapu.
I think the thing thats missing from it atm is a cleary defined kick, once you done that youve got a pretty decent snapu.
Its a hell of alot better than what some people claim as snapus on this forum.

Yea it is a Cheat 720 Twist but honestly if the kick was there it would definitely qualify as a snapu, which is a whole lot better than many!

Yep, that one has the money. I think the masters of the Sideswipe should join together and train Snapus so that they can regain their spot on the pedestal, as a hard ass move. Not something that you can half-ass like a Jacknife. Oh shit you so can't half ass those.

people are more concerned about doing snapus that they accept having the bare minimum of what is needed to say they actually can do it.
I think before you say you can do something, the move should actually look like what it is intended lol.

Scalco inverts on the kick and lands almost straight up, that makes him the snapu master in my eyes!
This is obviously not a 540 gyro, like a lot of people said: snapuswipe with a mediocre kick.

its a snappu for sure.. but the kick never comes out fully, so try to work more on the extention of the foot.. but its realy nice:-D

What's the point in lowering the expectations when the real version isn't really that hard hehe. If anything, doing it the right way should be easier. I hope to begin tricking consistently again soon so I can hopefully record a good one soon and not be a hypocrite though haha.

Ive seen alot of guys doing snapus , including anis ,jeremy ,doeni.
They don't always invert all the way it should for a perfect executed snapus but when they do it , dont you still call it a snapu?
When I was in england tricking with jiayo chris and he did his snapus. I was a 100% sure that he was doing them and insane as well. Come on you guys. You definitly see a difference in a 540 gyro and as an example how chris does them. If not in video you WOULD in real life.

Personally Orichiu- I don't ever class it as a snapu unless it's perfectly horizontal at least haha, even though I'm nowhere near the level to be able to bash someone for it, I just don't think standards should be lowered.

Jup jup i agree in that, But there are people that keep their head looking up but their hips are still above head level making it look less inverted because of that. If you see them doing it in real life its definitly a snapu though.

Oh definitely! Anis does this and I think it looks great. I always pause the clips though and see if their hips really are above their head, I've never seen anyone but Anis do a snapu like this and genuinely have his hips above his head haha.

wow its truely amazing how quick from msn it go to here, i was under the assumption that the hips being above your head ie being slightly inverted is the definition of a snapu(like terada and scalco), if your horizontal then its laid back and if your upright then its a 540, if i was wrong them im sorry!

it needs a lot of work but i'm sure you'll do exactly that. you're probably pretty happy with yourself! nobody really does this move apart from a select few. everybody else just makes it look fucking dreadful haha.
there should really be no debate as to whether that's a 540gyro or not because a good 540gyro should be completely perpendicular to the ground hahaha. anyone who debates about that is a terminology idiAt.
