HAHAHA.

Whey Protein Isolate is awesome - so awesome, in fact, that I hope I'm not OD'ing on it. So, my question is: how many servings of whey a day is reccomendable? Can I throw down two servings a day even if I weigh just over 100 lbs? Can you believe I weigh that much? I mean, seriously!

Whey Snacks: Shake, Wheymelet (http://www.trickstutorials.com/index.php?page=content/jtoinekitch), Mancakes (pancakes for men), and Powerbars. Not that specific brand, THOSE SUCK; more like Pure Protein, Cliff Bars, and Balance Bars. And yes, they do contain "Whey Protein Isolate."

Stats: 105 lbs, 18 yrs old (as of yesterday!), MALE.

Thanks in advance, Tricks Tutorials Dot Com! You're like the balding, child-molesting Uncle I never had!

You're so thin man.

Edit: I'm 160, and a skinny shit.

If you are 18 and only weight 100 lbs (assuming you're not a midget) then you should drop the whey and consume 2 dozen eggs and gallons of whole milk/day.

Yeah man. Your not at the level to consume whey.
Cream those milky calories, and discover the powers of the dark side.

Skinny? Yep. Midget? Nah. Didn't want to post before pics yet, but here's an idea:

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd222/_Senomi_/PicDOS.jpg

I know, I'm skinny/weak as shit, but that's the point. I'd really rather not drop the whey, but I will drop the dosage - one shake and one bar a day is fine with me. The reason I don't weigh much is because I have, like, no body fat. :/

Hell yes to the eggs, but I dunno if I can pound down that much. I usually do three eggs + oats + 1.5 cup milk or a shake for breakfast, regular lunch, powerbar before lifting, 1.5 cup milk w/ dinner, and about 1.5 cup cottage cheese before bed.

If whey really is a horrible idea, I can understand cutting down to a half a serving a day if necessary, but that's close to nothing.

Ha haaaa, creamy darkside! My diet's not bad, it's my work ethic that's killing me. Drilling flexibility and lifting until college, then I'll get back to tricking.

Thanks anfeyd and Lees.

Mate no worries.
We aint saying whey is bad or shit.
Its just you would REALLY benefit from the extra calories from the whole milk instead of whey.

Your as skinny as fuck.
Typical ectomorph.
Probably have a rapid metabolism.
Just keep uppin the calories and put on some muss bro. :good:

Buff the calories you say? Aight, I can work with that :D.

I'll keep the whey, up my caloric intake (gradually, in small increments), and stay on schedule.

2 dozen eggs a day is a great way to get allergies.

Errrr, why not mix his whey in with whole milk haha? assuming he'd be having it with whole milk instead of water, it will all hold to good caloric value.

I'm not sure how much of my protein comes from whey, but I know I eat about 300g protein per day and I'm not overdosing by any means haha. Protein is water soluable, providing you drink plenty there's no real worry to what 'side effects' that it won't have anyway haha.

Why do you consume so much protein Skippy?

Sen
Apr-13-09, 03:11 PM
Yeah, I know, I don't really think that's humanly possible anyway (only one way to find out though :p). Farm fresh eggs kick ass.

Averaging out at about 2900 calories a day here, but these have been bad recording days - Easter, my Bday, Passover (I'm a JEW ha haaa), so lotsa fud.

I don't judge height by numbers, I judge it in terms of trees. I'm a sapling. But with this handy 12'' ruler I just found, I'm about 5'8".

300g protein? Can you, like, fit through doors anymore? BOSS.

Happy birthday man!

There's not really anything bad about taking multiple servings of whey each day if that's what your asking(provided you can afford it), but if you're trying to gain weight, just don't let the protein shakes act as meal-replacements, instead drink them in addition to the meals you normally eat.

Are you gaining any weight at 2900 calories? Just maintaining. Try upping it do 3500 or even 4000.

Also, 300g of protein isn't going to make you some fatass lard that can't fit through a door. I regularly get around 250-300g or so myself.

Maybe you could try upping calories by 250 KCalories, and see what happens after two weeks.
Then if your still not gaining, up em by another 250.
Keep doing this until you start seeing gains.

Thats just my opinion, but its a sure fire way to muss up.

Why do you consume so much protein Skippy?

I find it's helping me gain quicker. My LBM is about 158lbs (as in if I had no fat at all, so competition weight I'd be like 164lbs), so it's practically 2g per lb which isn't anything mad really.

Weight wise, whenever I consume a large amount of carbs I seem to pile on fat like a motherfucker. Now that I'm finally keeping everything consistent, I'm gaining nice lean weight at the moment and not putting on any fat. If anything I've been losing a bit of fat lately haha. The Anabolic diet made me pretty much gain no weight at all, but recovery was fantastic and my strength went up, so right now my current diet is just meh, good.

It just works for me, high protein, relatively low carbs and I'm not too sure about the fat intake. I haven't measured the other macros but my diet adds up to about 3k cals per day.

I'll try to up my caloric intake in small increments till I hit around 3500, seeing where that takes me. As for fitting through doors, I was referring to MUSS rather than being a fatty.

Downing a whey shake + Oats as we speak, and applying for a job at my gym at 1 o'clock, ha haaa.

Still, protein by itself does not make you huge.

I just started bulking around 2 weeks ago haha. My protein intake is around 250-300 as well. I eat a fine amount of carbs as i can't gain a thing anyway else.

I love to eat, so bulking is a godsend.

But I definetely need it.

congratulations sen, you have motivated me to post for the first time in like 2 years. haha.

dude, you REALLY really really need to gain some weight. roughly 100 pounds at round 5'8 is ridiculously, ridiculously underweight.I think you're under the impression that taking in loads of protein and working out is going to help you get bigger and stronger and put on some weight, but you're not gonna get anywhere if you dont increase your caloric intake drastically. All that protein is going to go to waste.

I recommend going on a 5x5 mass gaining program - try stronglifts 5x5 from stronglifts.com and work your way up to a gallon a day. It'll be hard to drink that much milk so start off with a litre a day. This is the fastest, best overall way to gain weight if you're not lactose intolerant.

The other big problem that 's keeping you from gaining weight is your lack of motivation to track your progress. you. need. to. keep. track.

Otherwise you'll just gain some and lose some, and never make much progress, not matter how many protein bars or protein shakes you eat or drink

good luck man, hope my advice helps.

Aight, allow me to set some things straight here with some fun 'lil factoids:

I'm short and skinny, not stunted and retarded. My stature isn't a result of poor diet or lack of exercise; I've always been diet-conscious, and I run XC year-round, in addition to gymnastics. It's genetics and, up until now, a general disinterest in bulking.

I've done my homework. Research, asking friends, asking trainers, and now, asking you guys - I'm not running in blind. In addition to having a weekly lifting/flexibility plan, I have also invested my time in applying for a job at my local gym in order to pay for whey and this alteration of my diet. Speaking of which, I have been recording my caloric intake for the past week and am making notes and changes as we speak.

I made this thread after some thought and consideration, so, when replying, I ask that you do the same. Much love for TT, and for those who give solid advice. The way I see it is, when addressing the limitations of others, consider your own. People like anfeyd, Swartz, Skippy, etc. from what I have gathered after lurking for quite some time () pretty much know their shit - they're sharing their experience, that's teaching. Sharing basic ideas and advice from a less experienced standpoint is fine too, but that's encouragement, not teaching.

Yes, thanks to both to those who encouraged me, and to those who taught me and gave me the answer I was looking for. I intend to follow this system for another 5 months before I really get into tricking again.

For all you lurkers like me out there without any super-vital advice, just wish me luck. OH NO TEN O'CLOCK TIME FOR COTTAGE CHEESE. :good:

Well as you know, when Gaston was a lad he ate four dozen eggs every morning to help him get large. And now that he's grown he eats five dozen eggs, so he's roughly the size of a barge.

Two dozen eggs is the sort of diet a little girl would follow.

But I know what you're saying about the pancakes. A few years ago I used to make them the same way every morning, and eat like 10 of them. If there was any left over, I'd bring them to school as a snack. I'll guess the portions for you.

4 cups dry blueberry pancake mix (doesn't have to be blueberry)
1 cup dry whey protein powder
1 egg
2 cups 2% milk
1/2 cup dry oats
2 tbsp honey

Was excellent.
