How would you calculate the calories + carbs + fats+ etc , of a home cooked meal? Say you make a soup and you cook it with eggs, vegetables, fruits, and stuff like that. Does cooking alter anything specific? ( the heat destroys protein? )

Not enough to worry about. Calculate from raw and you'll be fine.
Not that I would even bother counting calories though...

Counting calories on the spot really gets dull after a while.
Thats why all my meals have been pre-calculated! :smile:

You can get around to calculating somewhat precisely like 10 meals then you'll get a general idea about whenever you eat
