I think UK gathering should be held somewhere different each year like it was last time... it gives the social aspect and new setting and a good chance to get around to different places and mix it up a bit...

Yesness. I advocate both the awesomeness of Devon as to its being kept, AND the simultaneous awesomeness of mixing up the locations a bit. Back in the early days of UK gatherings we had Andy's Northampton in 05, TKD Andy's OxcellentFord and Tom's Liverpool in 06, as well as the two awesome Derby gatherings at Mr. Ward's place and Alton Towers. (Not in chronological order, obv.)

I plan on coming to this.

What if we all gave your grandparents like £2 each for the use of their land during the gathering? It's an insignificant amount individually but if 30+ tricksters all pay it then it'll be more than enough of an incentive for them to rent out their field to a bunch of strangers. Is there gym in Essex?

Theres a good gym about 15 min drive, its possible to get there by train but not really worth it. We are gonna talk to the guy about when we can use it, I'm sure we can arrange something.

As for transport to the gym we should have about 3/4 cars available for lifts, can always do more then one trip, and there will probably be some people will be bringing their own cars who can also help out (y).

But yeah theres a lot of things we need to get sorted out and confirmed before we can defiantly say we can do this <3.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to use the farm venue that we was planning to use. I'm not sure of the actual reason why we can't, as i wasn't the one trying to get use of the farm.

We aren't totally giving up on the idea of hosting, but if any one else has any other places we could use that would be great.
