a few weeks ago i hurt my ankle doing a b-twist.. i was told by somebody to buy an ankle support bandage - and so i did.. i wore it for over a week, and after the 9 or so days, my ankle felt better again.. however, yesterday i attempted this move again and i get the same feeling when i land the move: even with ankle supports on! i dont think i've hurt my ankle again, i just think it didnt heal.. but surely 9 days is enough for a minor sprain?

Sprains can take ages to heal. If it hurts, don't do it. Chances are you'll just be worsening it. Do hypertwists in the mean time =)

No, 9 days isn't necessarily enough for a sprain. It probably takes weeks/months to be fully and completely healed.

Heed Sakanem's advice.

if its still hurting go see a sports therapist.

they'll probably suggest hypertwists too :good:

If you're doing hypertwists you'll still be using the injured ankle to take off with, just stop until it's healed fully, see a physio

Well if the take off doesn't hurt at all then it really doesn't matter if it's his injured one or not.

stop doing b-twists (for a couple of weeks or even months)! and i mean it!
if you don't feel safe on your ankle then don't overdo it, cos it might get you into serious trouble..i've been there too...unfortunately...

EDIT: and go see a physio
good luck man

I sprained my ankle in TKD once , wasn't even too minor because it got bent in like an L position. Could've broken I reckon , didn't walk on it properly for a month or so. Anywho , moral of the shit story thing; REST. Could've been a fuckload worse.

Aside from the fact that it wasn't advice, yeah, I'd say that judging the prudence of doing a trick while injured based on the amount of pain it gives you is pretty sound.
