OK im not really a tricker im more of a tumbler and im trying to work on my fulltwist layout. Ive been doing 3/4 turns and have been given plenty advice. Im 14 with no gym so dont ask me if i can use mats or something and i have no trampoline. And i notice my problem. I tend to go straight into the twist and i dont set which is my problem because i can set fine on a layout but when i go for a full i just tend not to set and if i do set i dont get enough height. So i try setting higher but for some reason i just cant. I wish i could provide a video but not batteries. And sometimes i see people facing like 90 degrees before they even start the flip. So can someone please help me.
twist faster when i first learnt them i got no height but lots of spin just work on getting height after you can actually do it.
must we go through this again???? really???
my guess is the reason you are doing 3/4 is most likely not because you are failing to set(though this is another problem) but because you stick your head out and are too loose in the air.
but at some point you just have to grow some balls and do it. many of the people on this forum learned it on grass with no mats without making multiple threads begging for advice

Ok i do not need your negative comments to put me down and even try to compare me to everyone else. Im learning different from everyone else because maybe i need more help than every one freakin else. Im not scared to do it at all. Im willing to try everything. And no my head does not get lost, i turn my head like i was told and how do i know i turn my head because when i land a 3/4 turn im looking 360 but my body is facing 270. So yes i made a post a while back and now this so if you have a problem with it than solve it. I still thank you for the advice but the negative comment wasnt needed. I know its my setting because i notice i always try going straight to the twist but no set. I was able to do a full but it was tucked and slow and i forgot how to do it after being almost 4 days sickness. But i will get this i am very determined on getting it too. So be ready to see a video of it because I WILL GET THIS FULL TWIST DOWN. I already mastered a arabian (which i use in alot of my tumble passes) with no sweat so im just trying to go to a full. So if anyone else know what i can do or work on that would be very helpful.

dude don't take offense to that, haha it's just advice. And if growing balls worked for everyone else (it worked for me) it should work for you.
EDIT:
Sorry to say this, but please grow some balls. If there is really no gym around you can still trick well and you can definitely trick safely.
from the "no gym" thread
I only really feel the need for gyms when i do a massive bail and lose confidence in a move i learnt on grass.

I trick in my karate school on Saturdays now, but I vastly prefer grass, it's everywhere. It's not good to become dependant on a gym, because then you are limited by it, like an addiction.

STEP ONE: LEARN TO LAYOUT
STEP TWO: LEARN TO TWIST.
DONE.

You said it yourself, you're not addicted to a gym, so what's the problem? Learn a fulltwist on grass just like everything else.
We've given you all the advice you need to solve your problem:
1. Grass is fine/grow a pair
2. Layout
3. Twist

Ok im probably anoying the hell out of u guys but i think i full twist is impossible. I cant even do freakin full twist right but i can do a arabian and all the easy stuff right. Ive watch so many videos i dont think theres not 1 i seen. But ive never actually saw full twist done infront of my face instead on the computer. I dont know what to do. Ive been trying to do a full twist EVERYDAY FOR 2 OR 3 MONTHS ALREADY AND ALL IM DOING IS 3/4 TWIST. But sometimes i think i landed it and my feet are facing 3/4 but my body is all around and it hurts my ankles. I dont know what to do. I think im going to quit tumbling because this is getting dumb, frustrating, tiring, and a little boring. There is no way i will ever do a full twist in my life if i dont get assistance. I tried to "wing the twist'(fail), set high then pull to my should (fail), half tucked (fail), superman drills (fail). I mean i dont think there is nothing else i can do so there you have it for all the people that are happy to see me quit and helping would help but to me i just cant put the advice into my full attempts. So despretaly if someone can help me do my full then i know i can do anything.
Really now...If all you are trying to land is fulltwist yet you are landing shittily so many times, it just means you need to stop trying, take your mind onto something new, and learn it another day, week, or year. Whenever is good enough so that your muscle memory or confidence in fulltwists will dissipate and you can easily start fresh again.
So yeah. I'd advice you to give up on the move for now.
PS It seems you lack commitment in the movement. I'm only going from my personal experience since you don't happen to have vids to show us what you got so far.

I guess your right tivo. even tho ive gotten alot of moves that dont twist already packed down and the rest of the moves i wanna learn twist. And DarKoren ill try using them but for now ima just work on layouts and stuff like that or trying to "wing" the twist even tho i come pretty darn close all the time. So ill just "wing it" for now on and nothing else.
yes, because you show an innate mastery of every move that does not twist. listen to yourself. do you know how many awesome people have tried to help you? and what do you do? just keep asking for more
few people on the internet make me angry but you do
I saw that one video of you that you posted some time back, and trust me, you have not mastered all the moves leading up to a full. I know, you have no access to a gym, but this is no excuse
you still have ways to go, I suggest you get crackin'

i think i know what your problem is. you are trying to 'gyro' your arabian. this is the wrong approach. you need to actually twist and hold that twist. when you are doing an arabian you are turning - not really twisting. it's the same difference between a fronthalftwist and a barani.
what you need to do is completely rework your fulltwist. listen to the advice given and do a backlayout in which you twist HARD halfway through. try to really make that twisting motion and don't just drop one shoulder and turn like in an arabian. don't try to gyro your arabian, it won't get you anywhere.
if you twist succesfully you will probably land on your knees or hands/feet the first time, but you will make the whole twist. from there it's just practice 'til you land it.
i'm sorry i can't help you more since my fulls aren't the best, but i had the same problem and i solved it by completely reworking the move.
