Hey all,
Im beginning a very intense workout regimen next week, but I wont have access to a fitness center for a few months. I am trying to think of any creative/hercules/rocky ways to get a leg press workout in, whether it be in byard or garage.
Any ideas?
Im thinking a bunch of cinderblocks or something somehow.

Go down to Shaedar's post. He has quite an interesting setup going for him.
If that doesn't workout fashion yourself a sandbag and start doing cleans, presses, squats, continentals and anything else you can think of with it(a few articles around the net about this). The last method I can think of is using a partner. When I did BJJ we used to drag each other from the lapels across the floor, do fireman runs, squats with your partner on your back or hanging in front of you (like if you had just picked him for a slam a la Rampage).
Good Luck.

You might be able to fashion something out of say a keg with a pipe through it for holding stuff, and you push it up an incline, maybe if you have a hill near you. the back rest could be a big plank or bit of concrete or whatever you can find dug in a significant distance(or a tree). A plank of wood for your feet to push the keg up the hill (the keg rolls). It may not be safe or practical, but it just might work! (could also work for rowing type actions, with a rope attached to the pipe through the keg, or pushing, or running up the hill dragging a keg)
You just need a keg, some rope, a pipe and a hill, and a bit of wood. http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu11/Jackuploads/makeshiftkegexercises.jpg

I have weights to bench/squat, but that doesnt exactly do the same thing as a leg press right?
Thanks Jack & Kon, those are really helpful! I can feel it spurrin up some ideas for what I can do. I love out of the box / homemade stuff like this, its.. HARDCORE!

As far as I know, squats are superior to leg presses because you use free weight and your muscles have to work a bit more to keep everything balanced. If you're going to work with water this will be more emphasized (as it splashes around; you'll want your weights as full as possible to reduce this to minimum) and it'll put a bit more stress on your core. Which is good.

Hm, I see.
They will either be sandbags or a bunch of cinderblocks I have lying around. Either way I have a pretty neat setup that I think would work. Ill illustrate it later
