Tony Ford
Tony Ford is a commonwealth games gold medal winner. Tony has held 6 British Weightlifting records, 2 commonwealth games records and the worlds best Dumbell Press record. Tony has also competed 42 times representing his country, including the Olympic games as well as coaching world class sports stars to the peaks of their success.
We got talking & I asked him if he'd teach me the Olympic lifts alongside my powerlifting stuff. He's going to be working at the Olympics 2012. He was interested in how I was training & then he told me about how he used to train & he was saying something like his coach used to make him front squat 380lbs for a set of 5, 50m sprint & then do a set of 10 back squat with 400lbs with no rest & other stuff like that & his methods seem pretty old skool. I'm hoping he doesn't get me doing anything like that, it sounds crazy. He then gave me some old photos of himself, we arranged a time next week to meet & then we parted.
