It's a bit awkward for me to do regular 360's because I get too much air, but I'm sure I could...

It is easier to do Hyper Pop 360's than regular Pop 360's. Just underpower the jump very, very much, or perhaps try throwing a hook instead of a crescent.

yeah i could i guess. but wouldnt it be pointless to do low ugly 360s?

Did you just admit that this is a stupid pointless topic?
Why yes. I think you did.

no, i didn't. i was saying that making a compromise would be pointless.
and i was wondering if anyone else experienced this.

Why not just kick a little later.

There's nothing wrong with doing low if it looks good haha, or take my second suggestion, and do a hook kick instead of a crescent.

as in do a pop kick rather than extend the kick all the way through? tried that but im experiencing difficulties unchambering my non kicking leg.
edit: saw your post skills. ill give it whirl tomorrow. thank you.
feel how you use your hips.
when you hyper kicks, you use your hips to bring your leg around, if you force the hyper by trying to throw the leg first, obviously they feel and look bad.
so try and lock your hips as you kick. meaning, when you go up after the initial dig, spot your target and make sure your hips dont come around. make sure they're pointing at your target the entire time; if there was a guy there, you'd be flashing him with your nut sac, pretty much.
Just don't pull the kick leg down... Seriously look at doeni's 360cres (he throws a hook though), it's like the greatest trick ever done, no hyper included :P Personally I think regulars look even better than hypers plus I drastically disagree with skilz on making it lower instead of learning to throw the kick without hypering it through.
I use my leg to actually pull me up, so I jump less. That way I don't go too far and my kick is still powerfull.

This is a "control" issue. The more you train, the stronger you get...so to compensate, you should dull down how much force you put into certain aspects of a trick [i.e. spin, kick, jump, etc.].
Imagine that their are several tiers within your ability to perform general rotations [spins, twists, flips]. Now imagine that Tier 1 is the ability to spin 360°, and that Tier 2 is the ability to...
T1 _ _ _ _ Spin 360°
T2 _ _ _ _ Spin 720° _ _ _ _ Twist 360° _ _ _ _ Flip 360°
T3 _ _ _ _ Spin 1080° _ ___-Twist 720° _ _ _ _
T4 _ _ _ _ Spin 1440° _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ---Flip 720°
This is just a quick mock up, probably not very accurate...but when you get into Tier 2 rotations [these aren't necessarily tricks, just the ability to do the amount of rotations on a particular axis], the amount of effort you have to put into a Tier 1 rotation get's lowered. Anyone who can P10 can tell you about their troubles with P7. You get so used to jumping as high as possible and ripping into that spin that a P7; even technically easier in comparison to a P10, becomes quite hard to do
As a remedy, you must learn to control and finesse certain things as you continue to climb up the ladder of difficulty. Instead of ripping into the spin, you may have to just casually wrap in, or even not wrap at all and just pump the shit out of it with your arms and legs. Instead of jumping super high, just give it about 40% effort on the vertical. Instead of whipping the kick through its path, you might want to focus on making the initial part of the kick [the path to the target] fast and powerful, but relax on the second part [the path at impact, through the target]. Sometimes it's a combination of the three...you'll have to experiment to see what works for you.
But yeah, control your stuff :juji:
